Edwin couldn’t help the disappointed sigh when he was pulled from James’s grasp and he looked at the man in front of him.
“Apologies, but I think I’m starting to get a little dizzy,” he said as he stepped away from the man and he made his way back over to Jamie.
“Edwin? Is everything alright? You seemed to be really enjoying yourself,” Jamie asked as he reached out and gently put a hand on the man's shoulder.
“Yes yes, I’m fine, just-”
Edwin’s eyes were drawn towards the stairs, where he saw the flow of raven black hair. His eyes widened. He has only ever seen hair like that on one other person, his nightmare reminding him of the man he lost long ago.
“I need to use the washroom,” he said to Jamie before heading off towards the same stairs. Lifting the skirt of his dress, he quickly made his way up the stairs and through the hallway, watching as the mysterious man with black hair turned a corner. Edwin followed behind and turned the corner rather fast.
