Another week passed by and the energy in the manor felt electric as the courtyard was being tended to and decorated to accommodate for a celebration.
Jamie being the one who was directing everything as he straightened out chairs. “How do the flowers look, Lily?”
Lily walked along the bushes and hedges, tending to each dead flower and pruning the plants. “They look as lovely as ever, Jamie. Now try and relax. Tomorrow is supposed to be a joyous occasion, not a stressful one,” she said as she walked over to him and gently tapped the tip of his nose with her finger.
Jamie scrunched his nose and huffed. “I know, I know. I just want everything to be perfect for them. That’s all.”
A laugh rang out behind them and Edwin smiled at the both of them. “And we appreciate all of the effort you two are putting into this, but your girlfriend is right. I want you to have fun at this celebration.”
Lily grinned again. “I don’t know how many times I have to say it, but I am always right.”
