“Y-Yes sir, I love it… Please, let me return the favor,” he begged once again, one of his hands slowly starting to move down.

But James stopped him by gently grabbing his wrist. “No, if you are going to repay the favor, then it will be with that wonderful mouth of yours.”

Sitting at the dining room table with food in front of them, James found himself reaching for the paper instead of his utensils.


“It made the cover page,” James said as he showed the other three beings in the room.


James looked at the paper and read the title aloud: “Investigation into the Church of London closes around guilty Father Terrence.” He shivered slightly thinking of that man and he looked away. 


“We don’t have to read this right now if you can’t,” James reassured, gently rubbing Edwin’s back.


Jamie and Lily nodded in agreement, Jamie taking a bite of his food before speaking: “We can all be patient.”


Edwin thought for a moment before shaking his head. “Go ahead and read it, I can handle it I promise.”


James nodded. “If you’re absolutely positive, it’s alright to stop me whenever you need.”


Edwin smiled at him softly. “Thank you, love…”


James simply smiled back and kissed Edwin’s cheek gently before looking back at the paper.
