Miles away from the Truth

"Why wouldn't an Archangel forgive a devoted child?" The Saintess asked the question everyone in the room had. Archangel Michael looked at them before his attention moved back to Sister Oriana, he gritted his teeth before he walked to the wall and formed a window, he opened it letting the noise come in.

Everyone was shocked by the things they heard and Father Asher turned to look at Sister Oriana in horror.

"My Lord?"

"Yes, Hun?" Archangel answered the little Angel. The little one was still trembling after receiving his Archangel's request, he didn't know if he was worth such honor since he wasn't even that strong.

"My Lord, I-"

"Whatever you are going to say is not true Hun, I've been watching you for a while now, and I believe you deserve it and more! If a day comes and I'm no more, I want you to be the next Archangel~" Hun flinched and looked at his Archangel in horror, "Please don't say that my Lord!!! You will live! Also, you have Archangel Michael by your side!!"

"There will be a day when he won't be around, that's why I want YOU to be there for me, until my last breath."

Silence filled the room after the record ended. Father Asher went to take a seat beside Sister Oriana and held her cold and trembling hand.

"So, she- Broke an oath?"

"Worse than breaking it, he betrayed Archangel Uriel" Everyone trembled and turned to look at Sister Oriana who was pale. "Open your eyes and answer me" Archangel Michael ordered but she didn't move an inch.

Archangel Michael gritted his teeth, rushed to her, and pulled her by the shoulders, "Answer me!!" Sister Oriana opened her eyes as fast as she could causing the tears she was holding to fall, "Answer!!"

"I-"

"Hurry!!" Archangel Michael's divine energy seeped out again choking everyone in the room, "Come on!!"

"My Lord!!"

"Please, my Lord!!" Everyone pleaded with him but he didn't respond.

"Hun?!" He called.

"I don't know!! I don't remember anything!!" Hun cried when his real form came into view, luckily it wasn't the devil one, but a normal young man, the same form he met Father Asher in their first time out of the church.

"How do you not-?"

"Archangel Uriel said that, hic- If I forget my past before being framed as a sinner, sobs- I will be happy and safe, she- Hic- she told me that's the safest option to could protect me!!" Archangel Michael let go of his shoulders and sat on the bed, he turned left to look at the crying face of Hun's. His heart squeezed recalling how Archangel Uriel was in the same place after Hun was taken from her.

"Hun?" The Archangel called him, and the young man choked on his tears trying to look the Archangel in the face but he couldn't stop his tears so he kept crying.

"Look at yourself, making a devoted believer cry~"

"Archangel Gabriel" Archangel Michael sighed and rubbed the bridge of his nose, "there are people here"

"I don't care, Michael. What I care about is that I had warned you and yet, here you are"

Archangel recalled what she exactly told him that day,

"Lier-" Gabriel said coldly and glared at him, he glared back at her but he was speechless, he didn't know how to reply to her, "Next time you plan to lie, warrior angel, find better lines instead of denying the obvious. And let me pin this in your head, We are Archangels, so avoid anything under the category of sins."

He squeezed his eyes shut before he nodded his head, he stood up and gave everyone one last glance before he turned to leave with Archangel Gabriel but a hand held him back, when he turned back, he found Hun on his knees with tears still streaming down, "I- Am I still allowed to remain here?"

The two Archangels looked at each other before Archangel Gabriel stepped in, "Yes little one~ Don't worry about that! Your gender has nothing to do with your qualification as a candidate to become a Wing, it's your devotion that decides~"

"Simply put, you can stay so work hard to prove your ability to protect Archangel Uriel as Hun, the devoted Fallen Angel, then as her Wing" Archangel Michael's calm remark gave Hun a hope that his eyes started to drop more gems of precious tears.

"Tsk, look at you crying because of such a thing"

"Let me remind you Uriel is like that too~" Archangel Gabriel nudged his arm before getting bonked on the head. "Anyway, treat Hun like any other student, no favoritism is allowed because that will cause unnecessary trouble to Hun. And Hun? Through your stay here try to maintain your form as the fairy maiden but when you're around any of them, feel free to get back to your real form"

The two left leaving everyone behind a lot of unanswered questions but that wasn't what mattered now, what mattered was Hun's current state. Archangel Uriel's First Wing helped him back to his bed. Hun looked at everyone and bowed his head down with his shoulders drooping, "I want to sincerely apologize to everyone here. I didn't mean to deceive anyone, I-"

"It's okay" The Great Nun patted his head and gave him a reassuring smile, "Just focus on getting better" Tears started falling again after hearing those words knowing he wouldn't be left alone even after what just happened.

"Thank you, hic- Thank you so much, everyone!"

"What now?" Saintess Jane asked the three Wings. They decided to leave Hun to rest and Father Asher requested to watch over him just in case something might happen.

"Let's leave it at that"

"Is that a good idea?" The Saintess asked worriedly.

"Well, there is a lot more to be revealed about the relationship between the Archangels and Hun- I mean Sister Oriana" Noon, The Great Nun, corrected herself, "We're still miles away from the truth, so... sigh, let's see what life has for us" the three nodded and walked away not knowing that danger is approaching their calm days.
