Chapter 36 - Cheated

When his mother left the room, Yunfeng secretly took out a small notebook, his end-of-the-world notes. He had written down everything he could remember about his said event and what he should prepare for it. As of now, the food he had ordered could not be sent to his home. his house was too small to accommodate the bags of rice and beans.

Instead, he had secretly entered Jai's address. His friend was quite rich and lived in a spacious of villa area. 'even the garage is bigger than my house...'

But the only problem was he still didn't inform him about this.

His poor friend might faint in shock seeing shipments of food being dropped on his doorstep.

Grimacing, he called Jai. His best friend attended the call in just a second. "Yunfeng, you have to take me out of this house. They are driving me crazy! This darn doctor said that my mental constitution is weak and that I have to eat flavorless food! Flourless! I'm eating gruel like a prisoner." Jai dramatically sobbed. "Just come save me my knight in shining armor."

"won't your father chase me off…" Yunfeng chuckled. Jai's family was quite well off, but he had never met his father before. And in this timeline, he was not sure if the past Yunfeng had met him or not.

"Please… just at least sneak on some fried chicken. I'm craving It so bad. Watching YouTube is not helping either. These food bloggers are sent from hell, I tell you," He cried softly.

Yunfeng rolled on his bed, laughing. "so you expect me to deliver food to your house where your dad is guarding your door like a demon…."

"My best friend…." Jai whimpered.

"Fine, but if you do me a favor."

"Whatever." Jai agreed in a hurry.

Yunfeng bit his lips anxiously. "You see... I did a bit of shopping and... kind of gave your address as the delivery address."

Jai's line went silent. "Did you buy adult toys? Are you planning to send me to an early grave?"

"no! I... I just brought a bit of food."

His best friend's sigh of relief was quite audible. "Great I can steal a bit of your snacks."

"ummm about that…. it's a bit big,"

Two weeks later, Jai stood in front of his lawn looking at the huge pile in his driveway.

"What is this, Jai?!" his father came up behind him, completely in rage.

"I don't know! I swear I dint have anything to do with this!" he rushed to the delivery guy and took the receipt. "Look its named… Yunfeng…" his astonished eyes looked at the piles of food boxes. 'This bastard, he didn't say it would be getting tons of stuff. What is he planning to do? Feed a whole village for eternity! What the heck is this…'

"Shin Jaiye! isn't that your friend," a hard hand landed on his shoulder.

Jai gulped. "Um… I kind of feel faint… dad can you please sort these in our storage unit for now… I... I want to lie down for a second." he slipped away holding his head.

Shin Hexing peered at the shipment with a deep frown. Recently there had been a lot of political unrest between countries. And seeing such a huge stock of food gave him a dangerous premonition. He subtly gestured to his assistant. "Find Yunfeng. I want to talk to him alone."

"Yes sir."

Yunfeng, who was ignorant of this, was working his ass off in his part-time job in the restaurant. Thankfully the chefs and the other waiters did not treat him badly. He quite enjoyed talking to the other customers, too.

His shift ended by evening 7.

Peering at his reflection whilst touching his pectoral muscles. 'Still nothing...' he sighed. He had been working his as off yet his body had not built any necessary muscles in his body. 'if only I was an alpha I can have a jacked body and look manly. In this life also I'm doomed to be a little white face...'

Omegas were inherently very weak, and their appearance matched that. They are short and cute.

He didn't want to be short and cute!

Seething, he changed his clothes.

As he was about to leave the changing room, his phone rang loudly.

"Hey Jai."

"You! What the hell are you trying to do? Did you put the number of orders wrong? There are ten tons of food outside my house! Ten tons!! Tons!!!!"

Yunfeng froze. "oh…..." the factory he contacted was in the rural areas and they had many nonperishable foods available for a very less price. So, he splurged all the money Muchen had given him and placed the order. But even he did not realize the amount of food that would arrive.

"Umm…."

"Oh, umm' is that all you have to say!! You... you dog! I had to pretend to have a headache to escape my dad's wrath. His car was blocked in the driveway and he couldn't get to work!!!! God I'm so silly I signed away my life for a measly fried chicken. The chicken I did not receive."

Yunfeng dryly chuckled. "My friend, I will come to your house and explain to your dad… by the way, what does your dad do?"

"Shut up! don't come here. He will kill you and bury you with me. I don't want to even share a grave with you. Stay incognito. Ive stored your food in our warehouse close by." Jai said calmly.

"Jai~~~~ thank you~~~"

"Stop using that tone. I'll rip your lips." Jai screamed.

Yunfeng giggled. "Seriously, thank you."

Jai sighed loudly. "I don't know what you are doing but…. You have to tell me everything the next time we meet. I'll try to sneak out later. I'll call you then. Oh, I hear my dad coming up... bye" he cut the call in a hurry.
