REBORN BEFORE HER SO-CALLED WEDDING (1)

*Cough*

'Please'

'Don't go yet….please'

On the Queen sized bed, a beautiful impoverished body was listlessly sleeping, with tears lurking in the corners of her eyes. The personal maid, who was cleaning her up, noticed the translucent gathering contingently and frowned. She suddenly felt rue in her heart for the younger mistress.

She vacated the room to call in the doctor. As soon as the doctor arrived, he examined the body temperature. The grey-haired man solemnly removed his specs to directly exhale the breath he had been holding, as relief clad his troubled expression.

"Hopes aren't lost yet…clean her up"

The maid almost yelped delightedly after hearing the good news. The doctor left the room after handing the maid the medication to be given to the body sleeping regardless.

'Younger miss, wake up soon, I miss your presence…your coldness is much better than your silence'

She went towards the bathroom and took out a bowl of warm water and a sponge. She wanted to give the Miss a sponge bath. After cleaning the bedridden woman, the maid left the room.

On the bed, the lackadaisical figure stirred as her legs twitched. A loud ringing of the cell phone blocked her ears. Her brows could not help being knitted and squeezed candidly.

She tried to break out of the deep cave in the perpetual dullness of depth. Her body, most especially her slender legs is stiff and unable to move. Soon enough, she slowly adjusted her eyelids and effaced the hazy darkness. Her lashes fluttered vapidly, and the burns in her throat worsened.

*COUGH*

At once, her eyes were separated, occupied with a low painful groan from her charred lips and a soft gasp. She almost screamed from the brightness wherever she was, but gradually she squinted her eyes as the light constipated her hazel orbs. Cantankerously, she managed to open those eyes and get absorbed into the sunny light. She forced her eyes to get accustomed to the pure brightness.

'Hell? It looks so heavenly'!

Another throaty cough escaped her lips as she scrutinized her environment. That's when a shock hit her.

'This looks familiar' She grunted and lifted her spread-out arms from the soft mattress.

'Bed? I'm on a bed? Why? Shouldn't I be burning in hell? Did God show mercy on my dirty soul and joined me in his heaven? This is so confusing'!

From her angle of sight, she directly saw the familiar faces outside the padded opened window. Her eyes elongated spontaneously. A woman wearing a mini skirt and loafer was snuggled around a man. Of course, she knew who they were.

Her Sister and Fiancé….no Ex-Fiancé

But what worried and intrigued her was why they were present there. Why did this place look the same as her home? Wasn't she supposed to be dead?

Amid her line of reasoning, she was unable to detect the movement of footsteps in the room. It was only after the intruder called…

"Miss May"

The hazel-eyed woman was a second time taken aback by thunderstruck. She was at a loss for words, and her eyes glinted in pain. It felt as if time had stopped.

"Ke… Keith" She stammered.

The mirth look on the young maid's face was very much conspicuous. Her feet were powerless to move, but the sadness was seen.

"You are finally awake" She scurried off to her side.

The suspicion the woman was having, was finally exculpated by the sudden appearance of her personal maid. No wonder she felt this whole place looked familiar. Did it only mean she didn't die? Or she did?

"You scared me… I thought I lost you after seeing so much blood around you…master looks angered. You lost your virginity to a stranger… I…"

"Virginity? Stranger? What do you mean? The wed…wedding was…." The maid interrupted.

"Your wedding with the young master of the Dwayne household will still be held next week. Master, your father, refused to believe you entered that room intentionally and allowed that unknown stranger to sleep with you" She explained.

May could feel the churn of pain in her throat. She appeared demented by the entire situation. If her wedding was still next week. Didn't such insinuate she went back to the day she lost her virginity to that stranger? Just to prove her love to that imbecile. But, how was any of that possible? Reincarnation? Rebirth? That's absurd!! She refused to believe such a cock-and-bull story. The last memory on her mind was when her sister had killed her...Xavier.

"Keith, tell me the truth…father instructed you to fabricate such a lie to me, so I wouldn't be mad at elder sister for her betrayal, right…the truth" Irrespective of her dullness, she spoke with full authority. Instead of feeling scared, Keith rejoiced. Her Miss was still instilled in her, her bossy attitude. But the bedridden woman's question was weird. Betrayal?

"I have no idea what you mean, but the master is saddened not been able to protect you from getting… Raped" Keith wanted to bite her tongue out for using such vulgar language.

'Raped?' The bedridden woman frowned, 'She wasn't raped…she had entered that room intentionally, no one forced her. Didn't they already know about it?"

She was inclined not to believe such a thing, but the truth and realization couldn't go hidden or buried. She was taken back to the time she had lost her virginity to that man. Furthermore, she remembered how that person had ravished her that night without acknowledging his identity to her. Not only that, but she didn't know how he looked, either. However, if she was aware of his identity, she swore with every fiber of her bones, she would tarnish his entire reputation and make him rot in hell.

"Younger miss, are you fine? Do you need water?" May vigorously nodded her head. Keith precipitously proceeded towards the large davenport at the hub of the room, carried the pitcher of water, and poured it inside the glass cup. She fed the woman the water.

Feeling less thirsty, May curiously asked, "Xavier? Is he home?"

Keith froze. She glanced back at the woman, "When did you start caring for Sir Xavier?"

May frowned and answered subconsciously, her line of thought somewhere, "Probably from that night when he…"

"When he…?" Keith was shocked to hear this woman speak of the man she hated and despised with humor and more words. Can pigs fly now?

"Nothing!" May ascertained, her voice as imbued coldly as the planet, Pluto "Re… Remote…pass it over" her body was still weak. Keith was muddled by her sudden quest. Gathering her senses, she strode straight to the Stuart Hughes Prestige HD Supreme Rose Edition TV, draped at the center of the chocolate wall.

"May, you should rest more…the doctor particularly said you need proper rest and…" Keith spoke with concern but as she faced the woman, the dark witty look mixed in her (May) hazel eyes coarsely feared her. She shuddered dreadfully and smiled nervously, "I mean… I'll help you"

*******************************

"It is rumored that the Multi Billionaire Mogul, the CEO of Dargan Crest Conglomerate, was spotted at the Chads Hotel last night. Reason not disclosed yet"

May exclusively retreats from the bathroom…due to the warm shower, her tensed body had relaxed. She scurried off to her extravagant closet. After rummaging for a dress…she found the perfect look.

"Another problem seems to have occurred in Dargan Crest Conglomerate. As we all know, the President of the enterprise, Mr. Alexander Dargan. He was just spotted by a male employee in the City Hospital. Last night had been hectic for the multi-billionaire as he terminally got into a car accident. His enemies are after his life, once again"

May sat on the lead chair across her room, which was opposite the window. The glass vast window was reshaping the view outside. She had her legs crossed with eloquent and grace. Being bothered by news like those was not her cup of tea.

She gracefully picked up the cup of tea on the table that Keith sent to her, and slowly sipped a little.

But this news was definitely her cup of tea. Of course, she knew this Alexander Dargan. Who is Maiden town City was oblivious to such an infamous name?

In her past life, she hated that name and even in this new life, it was no less.

She switched the news channel to another and picked up her mobile from the tuffet. She dialed some digit numbers and immediately the call went through.

"Never wasting time on business, do you?"

May sighed at the sarcastic words.

"You saw the news and want to take advantage, uh? Right? You had an accident last night…shouldn't you be resting?" The person at the other end of the call laughed.

"Don't piss me off this morning" came May's imputed words, "I have other important problems at hand, just get that thing done with… Andrew"

Andrew pinched the middle of his forehead and got the chance to tease, "You selfish woman. I cringe whenever those people speak highly of you…soft-hearted, my foot!!"

"Come take my heart away" He taunted but to his surprise, the woman had hung the call.

May threw the mobile to the bed and watched the exhibition outside her window. Those two are truly shameless, even kissing each other publicly. Just too bad I have more significant issues, otherwise both their legs must have been paralyzed.
