"Ayah?" Barakah called, her eyes narrowed on Zain who wore a small smile. "I don't seem to understand what's going on here, care to explain?"

"Y-yes," Ayah said, moving to stand directly beside her sister.

"You see Zain here, he saved me. He brought me here, didn't take me home."

"You were caught?" She asked, now facing Ayah.

Ayah nodded. "If he hadn't brought me here-"

"That's enough," she said.

Then she turned towards Zain. She stared at him for a long time, her narrowed eyes looking at his as though she awaited a signal.

"Thank you."

Ayah blinked. She hadn't been expecting that from Barakah.

"You're wel-"

"Why did you help her?"

"Because I wanted to," Zain replied. "It's the least I could do for her."

A small blush creeped up Ayah's cheeks and she hurried straightened out, now wasn't the time.
