Ayah felt a tap to her shoulder. Another, and another. She pulled up her sleep mask, peeking open one eye to see who it was that had decided to disturb her sleep.

She had barely had any sleep for a good time after the journey started. And when she did, she woke up with a massive headache.

Her surroundings were barely lit enough, she could only make out Barakah's silhouette hovering over her.

"Come on, barbie," Barakah said, her voice barely above a whisper. "We're here."

"Here?" The journey was over?

"Our new home."

Ayah stumbled out of the car after Barakah, still half asleep and extremely exhausted from the journey. The driver had only stopped thrice during the journey, all breaks not more than twenty minutes. Lucky for them, their driver didn't think not servicing his car before embarking on a journey was a joke.
