The night before, the festival committee held a meeting, gathering everyone involved, not just the usual group of five. Since the festival is on the eighth— two days from now, they decided to do a final roll call of the things that needed to be set up, what they had done and what else needed to be done. Surprisingly, it was Nathan who suggested the idea.
“We have to make sure, so it doesn’t get ugly when the day comes.” Everyone agreed.
Zoey noticed how everyone seemed to be dead set on making this festival a success. The atmosphere in the room seemed so serious, that not even Lucy and her friends couldn’t make their usual remarks and insults on the inefficiency of the group. No one would listen anyway. At this point, they have been regressed to mere trees in the background.
