Luna went to the kitchen and organized her groceries and put her huge laptop bag inside her room. She took her wallet and phone out and tucked it into her pocket and went out. She realized there's two names on her missed call list, it's her ex and her so called friend's name. She sighed as she walked to the MRT again and decided to text her so-called friend.
Luna: take it, im done w it... have a great time n good luck.
And she blocked both their numbers.
She saw her phone vibrate again and this time it's a call from her parents.
"Dad?" she said as soon as she picked up. It's not the first time they called her. But she still felt happy whenever she could hear her father's voice.
"Hi, baby, is everything alright? " he asked. "Your mom worried whether you're alright?"
"Yes, Dad, I'm always gonna be your baby," she smiled as tears rolled down on her cheeks. "What's wrong?"
"Your ex called and told us you've changed and you've broke up with him," her mother said. "Are you alright?"
"Yes, I just can't do it anymore, I mean, being with a guy who's cheating on me with Sisca," she sighed. "I miss you, planning on going back for the weekend."
"Should I pick you up?" her father asked.
"No, I'll ask Aaron to do that," she smiled.
"Mmm, don't you think you should consider him as a potential boyfriend material," her father teased her.
She laughed, "No, he swung that way, and we're just friends," she sighed. "I'm on my way to MOS, don't worry about me, I won't get drunk. Please take care of yourself, love you."
"Sure, have fun," her father said and her mother nagged in the background. "Don't worry, she's old enough," she heard her father say that before turning off the line.
She sighed, torn between wanting to cry and to laugh. She remembered that fateful day when her father got a stroke from seeing both her so-called friend and her ex boyfriend together, announcing that he got her pregnant and wanted to marry her. She never thought they'd be that cruel and that's why she can't forgive them, even for something that hasn't happened yet.
It has been so long and she has already made peace with that part of her life. That's why she wanted both of them out of her life now. She treated them the way they used to treat her. But she realized something, she never wanted to meet them again but the more she wished for it. It's more likely to happen.
