Chapter 26 : Magic Theory Class [ 1 ]

Eleanor panicked at the sudden intrusion and waved her hands erratically, "Nothing!" Her heart pounded as if she gotten a jump scare from Mica.

If Mica ever heard the conversation between Lena and Eleanor, the two girls would be chased down by a wild yandere until the depths of the abyss.

Lena stopped muttering when she saw Mica lean in to listen to their conversation, her big luminous eyes peeking out under her bangs as her long bright blue hair styled in a pony tail cascaded down her back with a pair of glasses framed her ocean blue eyes.

She had a sharp, delicate nose and a voluptuous figure with full D-cup breasts that strained against her button-down shirt.

Her skin was soft and milky white as porcelain. She gave off a sensuality beyond any race, though her beauty could perhaps be compared to that of a goddess.

She wears a short white skirt that showed off her slender, milky white legs and her seductive yet feminine figure, accentuated by her radiant glow that threatened to ignite any man who gazed upon her.

She moved with a haunting grace and magnetism that was almost supernatural.

The one word Lena can describe right now in her thoughts is Big, in a straightforward yet captivating fashion.

Mica's figure was voluptuous yet alluring, her skin pearl-like in its luminous purity. She exuded a sensuality and power that transcended worldly beauty, as if stepped from the realm of myth.

Lena was extremely jealous of Mica's seductive figure, even though she didn't know why.

She replied blandly to Mica, "it's some things between me and Eleanor." Hoping to deflect her interest in their private affairs

Mica pouted as she glanced between the two girls, "what are you keeping from me?" in a curious yet slightly hurt manner.

Eleanor repeated what Lena had said before, "It's a secret between me and Lena" she said with a serious face.

As Eleanor spoke, she reflected on her earlier conversation with Lena.

Though she longed to learn more about Lo and all the things pertaining to him, she hesitated.

Eleanor gnawed on her lower lip, summoning her courage before inquiring, "By the way Mica, do you like Lo?"

She hoped her question would not be dismissed, praying for Mica to indulge her curious inquiries.

Mica's soft and delicate cheeks turned beet red as steam started coming out from her head, "H-how did you find out?" she stuttered shyly.

Lena rolled her eyes and responded, "Well that's because your eyes looked dead when you see him with other girls so it's obvious that you're jealous."

Although Mica wanted to refute and deny Lena's claim, she decided to stay honest with the two girls in front of her.

Mica smiled and replied to Eleanor, "Yes, I like and love him, I like everything about him."

After saying that, she remembered all the moments they shared together.

Those memories made her heart feel warm as she thought about the good times they had.

Eleanor sighed in relief and wondered, "When did you two met anyway?"

She was curious how they first met each other, and from how they interacted, it didn't seem like they had just recently become acquainted.

"We only just met before coming into the library." Mica responded shyly as her face was still beet red from their earlier conversation.

Eleanor's mouth fell open while Lena raised her brows and asked, "Wait, you two just met? But you two looked so close, like childhood friends."

Lena was spot on. In fact, Mica and Lo had known each other for a long time. However, Mica didn't want the two girls to know that she had met Lo back in the slums as she had suppressed Lo's memories from the distant past before they part ways.

"So? Was it love at first sight?" Eleanor continued.

Mica could only nod in answer, she couldn't think of any other reply.

"Yes, when I first saw him, I fell deeply in love with him and I felt sure that we'd be a wonderful couple someday." she answered with a very bright and gentle smile, picturing their future together hand in hand.

Eleanor smiled while Lena frowned upon hearing what Mica said. She felt like something was amiss but couldn't put her finger on it.

In truth, when Lena heard Mica say they would become a good couple someday, she felt increasingly annoyed as her hands started to grip tightly.

"What if we.." as Eleanor spoke, Lo chimed into their conversation, "Are we starting?"

The three girls looked up at the unexpected intruder who casually stepped into their conversation.

They glanced at each other before replying in unison, "Don't barge into our conversation without warning!"

Lo stepped back a little while he grumbled, "I just want to know when will we start,"

"Soon!" the three spoke in unison again.

He sighed and sat back down on the plush couch, staring off with a hand on his chin like lost in thought.

Looking at the three girls who seemingly look like three sisters chatting together, I couldn't help but wonder how they could get close with each other in an blink of an eye, even though they just met.

Since we're not going to start yet, I decided to just skim through my memories related to fundamentals of magic and mana.

In this world, mana enables the use of skills.

Without mana, skills cannot be wielded.

Each skill costs mana to cast, regardless of ranks it attained.

Duration based skills drain mana continuously, while attack based skills depletes mana upon use.

Looking at myself again, I couldn't help but sighed due to the fact that my most useful skill is a duration based skill and in order to become stronger I would need to learn magic, as the same concept also applies to magic.

However there is a key difference between magic and skills, magic harnesses the power of nature energy and incorporates it within the body of a ranker, allowing for far greater potential.

Using nature energy and mana together, a ranker is able to wield magic through the flow of nature energy, while skills are powers granted by the system, limiting them by ranks and mana capacity.

My plan for now is to delve into magic, this is due to the vast power difference between skills and magic, as it has far more scope for growth than skills.

Skills are restricted through ranks and the overall mana capacity, meaning not all can utilize S ranked skills without being at 4th crescent rank as you would require a high mana pool to wield them effectively.

Then there is Leo and his group that transcends all common sense in this world.

I couldn't help but shake my head at the thought of how broken they are, the man can literally use S and SS rank skills at 1st star rank which is something already impossible, hence why he had acquired an unique class.

And not just that but skills don't scale very well in lower ranks, this is due to the fact that skills are registered in Akashic record, which means that attribute stats also heavily affect the damage output of a skill or its effects, capping its growth.

Meanwhile magic isn't as limited, as magic comes from the combination between mana and nature energy, hence lower ranked rankers can explore magic freely.

Magic power only gets affected by the nature energy around the ranker, the effective control of nature energy and mana inside ones body.

Which means that in order to increase the output of magic, rankers only need train and master the flow of nature energy and mana inside their body.

Magic also has its own system, like 1st circle magic to 9th circle magic, each allowing greater mastery and power.

While I continue skimming through the information related to magic, Aya came inside the room.

Her scarlet red eyes that seemed covered in crimson veil, like rubies alive with fire, a long purple hair styled in a pony tail with a black ribbon on it, falling like silk to the curve of her waist.

An straight nose, high and proud, as her milky white skin is as soft as porcelain with an hourglass figure and a full C-cup breasts that seemed to defy gravity while a blue crystal pendant nestled in the valleys of her collarbones, glinting like captured sky.

Her narrow waist with an flaring hips and an slender yet sculpted legs, pale as ivory, that seemed to go on forever.

She moved with a preternatural grace, as if not quite bound by the laws of the earth.
