Chapter 27 : Magic Theory Class [ 2 ]

Mary followed closely behind Aya, her long black hair in a waterfall crown cascading her back. A pair of green jade earring dangles from her ear, while her eyes were as dark as the night sky with an beauty comparable to that of goddess Aphrodite.

As Mary walked in the room, her uniform hugged her petite yet curvy figure in all the right places, accentuating every curve. Her black skirt revealed a pair of slender, milky-white legs that could easily rival those of top models on Earth.

I couldn't help but gulp at the sight of her seductive body. Her curves seemed capable of charming any man in the world, as though she were a succubus in human form.

Of course I reminded myself to be more cautious, as gazing at Mary for too long could trigger the obsessive tendencies of a certain yandere, who might begin to plot ways to remove one of the very important female leads of the novel.

"Where is Leo?" Eleanor inquire from afar.

"He said that he has some things to take care of," Aya replied in a nonchalant tone.

Hearing the response of Aya, I knew exactly what is Leo currently doing, after all the novel narrated his POV in this part of the chapter, as its related to him consuming a pill to get an power-up, but that doesn't concern me at all. In fact, I preferred him to remain as broken as possible so that the story would still follow correctly.

Eleanor shrugged as her expression indicating that she was ready to proceed without him. "I guess we'll be starting."

While scanning the room, an unsettling sensation stirred within me. I couldn't help but wonder, 'Am I the protagonist instead of Leo?' I found myself surrounded by five stunningly beautiful girls who were the top beauties of the academy.

The thought took me back to my teenage years, when I had consumed novels about individuals transported into fictional novel and emerged as the true protagonist of the story. Perhaps, in some strange twist of fate, that was happening to me now.

Shaking off my absurd thoughts, I approached the five girls before me. They chatted with each other like members of a big, happy family, and I couldn't shake the feeling of being an outsider intruding on their intimate conversation.

Two hours had passed in what felt like a blink of an eye before the bell finally rang, signaling the end of their study session.

Eleanor let out a frustrated groan, as if she wanted to hurl the books across the room.

"Ughhh...there's just so much to remember!" she exclaimed in exasperation.

Lo holds his head with his hand as though he had a pounding headache and mutter, "This course is much complicated than I initially thought, It felt like studying physics all over again. Who even came up with these bullshit theories? That person should just go to hell at this point."

The intensity of the information overload was almost unbearable. Lo felt as if his head might explode from the sheer volume of knowledge he had absorbed in just two hours. And the same could be said for Eleanor, Lena, and Mary.

Aya and Mica couldn't help but stifle their giggles at the expressions on the faces of the four students. The sight was all too familiar to Aya, as she had also experienced the overwhelming feeling of information overload before.

In contrast to Aya, Mica had effortlessly aced the course with the highest grade in her year, making her a true genius when it came to magic.

The Fundamentals of Mana and Magic is an crucial component of the curriculum, it is also one of the most challenging courses for the 1st year students inside the academy. Many students had failed the course in the past, and it's no surprise to anyone on failing the course.

Mica responded with a gentle smile, "Don't worry, we've all been in your shoes before." Although she had easily excelled in the course, she wanted to remain humble and offer support to the struggling group.

"But I'm surprised you already know so much, Aya."

Aya's chest puffed out slightly as she responded, "Well, I've been reading books on the subject for a while now, even before I came to the academy."

'Lies! the girl is an regressor and with her broken skill, she is literally a walking super computer!!' Lo thought inwardly, all while showing a 'professional' smile.

Mary spoke up, "Let's head to class before we're late for our meeting with the professor."

She then turned to Mica and said, "Thank you for studying with us, we had a great time!"

"No problem at all. If any of you need help, feel free to find me anytime." Mica responded with a gentle smile while she glanced over to Lo and winked at him, causing a chill to run down his spine.

Lo felt a cold sweat breaking out on his forehead as he thought to himself, 'I need to get away from Mica and the group. If I join them, I'll become public enemy number #1 inside the academy and god knows what would Mica do to the female leads if I join them.'

Despite his inner turmoil, Lo maintained his professional smile, not wanting to give away his true feelings.

"Girls, I have to go now," he said to the group, before quickly making his exit, not wanting to give them a chance to respond.

"What's up with him?" Aya asked, confused by Lo's sudden departure.

Eleanor and Lena exchanged a knowing look, both of them suspecting what might be going on with Lo. Mary on the other hand, was puzzled by Lo's hasty exit.

Mica however, couldn't help but giggle at Lo's behavior. She thought inwardly, 'You can't escape from me, my little Lo.'

...

Lo finally managed to escape from the group and quickly made his way towards his classroom. As he hurried down the hallway, he couldn't help but notice the constant stream of students bustling past him, all heading to their respective classes.

While Lo continued down the hallway, his gaze was suddenly drawn to a striking red-haired girl. With her hair pulled back in a stylish side ponytail and her bright yellow eyes sparkling, she exuded an aura of captivating beauty. A small mole beneath her right eye added a touch of charm to her otherwise flawless features.

Her beauty was comparable to Lena's, and for a moment, Lo thought they looked alike. However, upon closer inspection, he realized that the differences in their hair color, hairstyle, and eye color made them look more like distant cousins than twin sisters.

Passing by the red-haired girl, Lo's attention was immediately drawn to the several students who were glancing at her like she was an goddess. Her mature yet cute face was like a sharp arrow that could pierce anyone's heart and her body seemed like it had been sculpted by god himself.

Lo couldn't deny the girl's stunning beauty, but he also knew that he had to stay focused on his own priorities. He shook off the distraction and continued his way to class.

Unbeknownst to Lo, the red haired girl glanced at Lo's back and shows an sly smirk.
