A WEEK LATER
WEDDING DRESS BOUTIQUE
POV MARCELINE
"Are you excited?" Sharon asked me as we drove to the dress store.
I shrugged, "I guess? It's kind of hard to get excited knowing I won't actually be wearing the dress in the end."
"Yea but everyone likes trying on wedding dresses," Sharon said, trying to rouse me out of my stupor. Ever since last week I had been keeping my distance from Grey, physically and mentally. I was glad that he wasn't coming to the dress appointment though.
Sharon parked across the street from the boutique and I could see Sherly inside, chatting with a young woman. She was wearing a lavender floral print today.
"Marceline!" Sherly beamed with joy as we walked in. "It's good to see you again, and I see you brought along a friend."
I nodded, "This is my best friend Sharon, I hope it's okay that I brought her."
Sherly waved for us to follow her, "Of course it is dear. Is your mother meeting us here later?"
