Chapter 24: A Day for Spoiling

A COUPLE OF DAYS LATER

MARCELINE'S HOME

POV MARCELINE

I had Sharon stay over the night before the party. I needed someone to help me do my hair. Although I wasn't going to keep my hopes up since Sharon wore a ponytail almost every day. After breakfast, I pulled out a few dresses I had in mind and laid everything out.

"This is what you have to choose from?" Sharon asked, picking up one of the dresses.

"What's wrong with these?" I asked, these were my favorite dresses, after all.

"It's just well," she huffed. "Look, I've seen photographs of her birthday parties in magazines. You're going to look like one of the staff if you show up in something too simple."

"Rude," I said sarcastically, knowing that she might be right.

"Give me your phone," Sharon said, holding out her hand.

"Okay, but why?" I asked and handed her my phone.

Sharon didn't answer me as she searched through my phone for something. A moment later she held the phone to her ear.

"Who are you calling," I whispered.
