Chapter 33: Flight to Relaxation

NEXT WEEK

MARCELINE'S HOME

POV MARCELINE

I had just finished packing my bag when I heard a knock at the door. Before I could run down the stairs to answer it, my mother had beat me to it.

"Please come in, Grey," she said sweetly. Ever since Grey had helped clean up the shop last week, she had been talking nonstop about having him over more. My father had also joined in by asking when he was coming over next.

I picked up my duffel bag and made my way downstairs. I still didn't know where we were going, so I packed a few different outfits depending on the weather. Grey was sitting across from my father, and I watched my mother come out of the kitchen with a tray of tea and cookies.

"Mama, we don't have time to stay," I said, dropping my bag by the door.
