THE NEXT DAY
GRAVETYE MANOR
POV GRAY
I stood in front of the floor-length mirror and adjusted my tie, smoothing back my hair. After the bachelor party, none of my friends decided to stay. So, when I heard a knock at the door I was surprised. Opening the door though, I was even more surprised to find Marceline standing there.
"Hey," she said softly, giving me a small smile.
"I thought I wasn't supposed to see you until you walked down the aisle," I smiled back and let her in.
"Well, you've already seen me in my dress so I didn't think there was any harm," she commented and I watched her nervously fiddle with her hands before she sat down on the bed.
"Is everything ok?" I asked, coming to sit next to her.
"Just a bit of nerves really," she said, still fiddling.
I put both of my hands over hers and held them. "There's no need to be nervous."
"But what if Stacy tries to do something again?" Marceline asked.
