“Wendy, aconitum is wolfsbane!” I cried. I couldn’t hold it back. Alarm bells were going off in my head.
Wolfsbane is a super deadly plant for wolf shifters! I can’t give that to female pack members!
Wendy blinked in surprise and almost dropped the book. She looked down at the book again and read it again.
“There’s wolfsbane near Nox Castle?” She questioned it just like I did. “That’s not safe at all! Who planted that near us?”
“Was it the author? Minerva?” I wished I knew who she was, but I didn’t know her name at all.
“It said in the prologue she died thirty-nine years ago, so I don’t know.” Wendy tapped her nail to her chin and hummed. “However...it’s not a big deal.”
I blinked at her. Not a big deal? The deadliest poison known to wolves was right outside our doorstep, and she thought it wasn’t a big deal? I grabbed the book from her hands and tossed it on the table with a bang.
“It’s a poison!” I cried. I tried not to be hysterical, but it was truly a deadly poison.
