Chapter 39: I’m The Luna Here

“Welcome, Robertson,” I said with a real smile on my face. He finally looked away from eying Wendy and back down at me with a very noticeable frown. I was almost happy he didn’t hit me with another one of his fake smiles.

“You called for me?” Robertson. If Phoebe hadn’t been so high on my list of potential threats, I would’ve kept my suspicions on him. The first time we met he threatened me! I had no reason to think he didn’t want to harm me.

“I did. Enter.” I moved back, allowing him to step inside. He stepped inside almost hesitantly, which was surprising coming from Mordecai’s ruthless and competent Beta. To think he feared entering my room. Surprising even myself, I laughed at him and shook my head. What little fear I had for him left exited my body.
