Letting go of his control over his offspring, he simply willed for it to die earlier than it was supposed to, causing it to burst into a rain of bloody fireworks.
Using a piece of flesh to conceal his approach, he stood only three meters away from Superstes, his arm outstretched, he made use of his now more potent than ever abilities.
He felt like someone who had just gone from barely being able to swim to a surpassing dolphins, it seemed like his previous usage of this ability had been nothing but poor and clumsy, inneficient to the maximum.
He even felt like abandoning its old name.
'Spawner Manipulation'
Before, he had indeed just been creating spawners, but without any sort of refinement, now, he felt entirely in control of every aspect of his creations, all of the limitations had simply been lifted, the true potential of this ability had been reached and surpassed.
Superstes hadn't lost track of him in spite of the blood explosion, whilst the signature of the wretch was hard to follow by default and the fact that his offspring's own presence was currently everywhere and chaotic only heightened that fact.
Swinging her spear through the lump of flesh, she wasn't quick enough to counter him in time, his activation of his ability nearly as fast as he was himself.
A stream of flies struck her like an unrelenting tide, using the good old trick of overloading a spawner to force a large amount of creatures to spawn at once, Axio almost laughed out loud seeing the result but he kept his composure.
Not only was the sheer amount enormous considering how little he had compressed and overloaded this spawner, it wasn't destroyed immediately, keeping up the constant wave for multiple second before shattering.
The frantic buzzing of the flies as they surrounded Superstes granted him the split instant of inattention that he needed, landing a punch enhanced with collective strike right to her guts.
He wasn't certain whether or not the blade version could accomplish a good job, he didn't have a good idea of how though she was, so he settled for a punch, the shock was certain to shake her internal organs a bit.
Rushing behind her whilst she was still in the air, he brought his hands together, feeling escatic, he couldn't help but look forward to this.
This used to be his only way of dealing damage to enemies with any semblance of durability, in its infancy state, it had destroyed the Abyss Eater's arm like it was nothing and even managed to put the Old Hadal King out of commission.
Forcefully merging spawners and seeds of challenge together, grinding flesh and bone with stone, keeping the whole thing steady, he could only marvel at his own mastery.
The sheer ease! The power it packed! In a mere instant!
He had to keep himself focused however, releasing a simple bullet of the dense mass rather than a constant stream like he had before.
It was still quite draining, he could feel it, a stream of it should only be used if he had a way to immediately recuperate or if he was certain of hitting.
Not to mention the fact that it forced him to remain still, keeping the conflicting elements together couldn't be done whilst in movement.
The bullet was aimed right in the center of the heroine's back, where it had the most chance of actually hitting.
Once again, Superstes demonstrated her impressive control over her own body, contorting mid-air, dodging the bullet without looking at it and landing in a way that instantly allowed her to strike back.
'Had I tried to use it in a stream, she would have been free to smack me in the face... Does she have a way of getting past by defenses however? In the state I am now, even Sir Solitar wouldn't be able of cutting me' he was confident in that idea, and he could be, for it was perfectly right.
The same man capable of slicing vague concepts like immortality wouldn't be able to scratch a purely physical being like Axio.
The boost he received upon ascending as the monster king was simply that potent, but it didn't erase his weaknesses.
Energies like magic could still slice right through him like a hot knife through butter, he didn't gain an understanding of such things, he didn't even get the slighest of boosts to his reserves.
In fact, his ascension had reduced them even further, the good side of his inaptitude at the magical arts and its counterpart was that he had so little of their respective energies that he was nearly invisible to those relying on them too much.
'She does have some form of energy, I don't know what it is but I am convinced she is still keeping her abilities under wraps' he was starting to appreciate her style, she had no place to win, yet, he felt like that if he were to give her an occasion, she would steal the victory.
He liked this style, because he was the pioneer of it.
He too had had no place to defeat the majority of his opponents or survive some encounters, he had tricked, deceived and straight up used others to do the dirty work.
Were he allowed to, he would just let one of his fellow apostles stomp her rather than bother.
Now that he had begun to fight however, he was disliking it all that much.
He looked at the spot he struck with his attack, not even the slighest of marks was left there.
He smiled and simply pointed his finger straight up, causing towers to instantly appear in a circle around the two of them, with dungeons growing in between them, forming a colosseum.
His new mastery allowed him to created seeds of challenge from a distance, no longer constrained to creating them from his body directly, he could also use super growth to form them instantly without any problem as well.
The constructs formed into one and began pouring out random monsters into the arena, he still couldn't control how they would turn out or what they would spawn however.
