Multiple floating ocular globes emerged from his abyssal mantle, all of them were actually part of a singular offspring, whose nape remained hidden with Axiolypito.

Using them as his eyes, he overlooked Superstes as she looked indifferently at the growing and endless tide of monsters.

She had seen this before.

The heroine focused more on the round masses of loud insects that were splitting off the main body and heading all around the edges of the arena, as well as the small eyes floating around.

With her usage of golden energy all over the area, she couldn't lose Axio's track, even his minimal signatures couldn't escape her, except for her he stayed perfectly still.

'He knows that he is less noticeable when not moving around, but he can't be certain that I can't still detect him... I'll act nonchalant and keep him guessing for now'

Since her last battle, her comprehension of the golden energy and her capacities had improved drastically, she felt like she could go even further if needed as well, yet, she hadn't even began to tap into any of it.

With her golden blade, she could tear all of those monsters and the arena apart simply by spinning around a single time.

Golden blade could also allow her to kill Axiolypito in a single blow as well, at least she hoped that the cockroach wouldn't continue to move even in pieces.

Golden glow could also hurt him.

She had developped a new usage for golden energy for this occasion as well and all of this didn't account for the singular 'hero skill' she had learned to use a while ago for this fight as well.

It might seem like she had many cards up her sleeves, but the reality was that even if Axio was taken by surprise and struck, it didn't mean he would die from it.

If he experienced a slash of golden blade or a golden glow and lived, he would be much more careful, most certainly deciding on keeping his distances and no longer using his close quarters techniques.

'He does know about Slaughter Lord's Mastery either' repressing a malevolent smile, she crouched down and waited for the monsters to get closer.

Axiolypito had his hands brought together, ready to shoot a concentrated bullet at any seconds or to dispel his ability if necessary, Superstes's actions were hardly readable.

Apart from the maniacal expression at the start, she had maintained a perfectly aloof expression, as though she had a plan and it was going exactly as expected.

'Do it, show it' the lookouts widened their eyes as they tried to catch any bizarre movement from Superstes.

The heroine allowed the monsters to swarm her, completely cutting off any line of sight Axio had on her.

Feeling a cold sweat on the back of his neck, he stopped the compression and moved away as a bright shine suddenly engulfed the entirety of the arena and beyond.

What was left of the construct crumbled down as the greater portion of it had simply been vaporised, not a single monster or one of their corpses remained, only a few of the mosquitoes Axio had spawned were still flying around.

"Well, this is somewhat painful, I must admit" Axiolypito spoke aloud as he and Superstes stood at a standstill, her spear no longer ignited by the brilliance.

Despite the atrocious pain that had assaulted him for a moment, the monster king simply looked at his missing left arm without much adverse reaction.

He hadn't exactly been expecting the heroine to just be able to extend her blade over such large distance, and certainly not do so by using a golden light capable of erasing everything it touched.

A cauterised stump was left at the joint linking his forearm to the rest of his limb.

His stoic approach to losing an arm wasn't missed by Superstes, having now revealed her golden blade, she heightened her body's enhancements a fair deal, increasing the potentcy of the particles left in the air to track the monster.

Axiolypito still had the antennae on his head, it was why he had reacted to the sudden surge of energy coming from Superstes, though, the heroine seemed quite good at suppressing her energy, since the blade had already been slashing through his arm when he picked up on it.

'I suppose this offspring still needs some work done on it...' he sighed and smile as he called forth another offspring.

'Passing The Torch' the number of usages kinship could have was nearly limitless.

This offspring looked like nothing more than a ball of skin, popping it into his mouth and biting into it, Axio devoured it without hesitation.

This particular application aimed toward giving a single ability to Axio for a minuscule amount of time, in this case, it was obviously the horrendous fast regeneration he had developped after countless hours of testing.

Showing off his perfectly regrown arm to Superstes, they both stood at attention, both of them seemingly for the other to make the first move.

'She still isn't going fully all out, her body augmentation might be able to allow her to rival me in sheer speed, she still won't have as much finesse and control as I do, but still... I need to drag her into areas where she can't beat me no matter what she can do'

Axiolypito had actually attempted to make use of his now tremendously enhanced ability to put up illusions, but it seems like the heroine's senses, enhanced with the brilliant gold simply saw right through whatever he could pull.

In that regard, she had him completely beat.

'He has yet to truly increase the pressure, he can drown me under attacks with his speed, I'll need to time my abilities just well and endure until I can create an occasion'

The battle hadn't truly begun yet.
