Rage

"Dungeon?" Orion asked confused, "This looks like a fucking pain." Orion only went after the goblins so he could get rid of them all, but now it would take forever to clear this gigantic maze.

[DUNGEONS ARE CREATED WHEN THE WILL OF THE WORLD AND MIASMA FROM MONSTERS MERGE]

[A DUNGEON CORE WILL BE CREATED AFTER SOME TIME, ALLOWING THE OWNER OF THE CORE TO INCREASE ITS SUBORDINATES AND EASILY MANIPULATE THE DUNGEON]

[CREATING A MAZE OR CREATING MORE MONSTERS REQUIRES A LARGE AMOUNT OF LIFE FORCE. A DUNGEON THIS SIZE WITH SUCH A LARGE AMOUNT OF MONSTERS WOULD APPROXIMATELY TAKE 50 YEARS]

"So, you're telling me these vermin have been killing and pillaging for over 50 years?" Orion asked with clear anger in his voice.

[INDEED]

The veins on Orion's neck began to bulge as he struggled to calm his anger. "Haaa..." Orion exhaled as he calmed down and began to scan the entire maze but that just made him more frustrated.

The maze was huge as it spanned the entire cave and would easily take days or months to explore every part of it.

"Why are these places created in the first place? What do others besides the monsters even gain from them?" Orion was still unsure on what the real reason behind these dungeons were.

[WHEN A DUNGEON IS COMPLETED AND THE DUNGEON CORE IS DESTROYED, THE WILL OF THE WORLD WILL BESTOW REWARDS UPON THE CHALLENGERS]

[IT CAN VARY BETWEEN ARTIFACTS, SKILLS, MONEY, KNOWLEDGE AND MANY OTHER ITEMS]

[WHEN THE DUNGEON OWNER IS DEFEATED AND THE CORE IS DESTROYED, THE DUNGEON ITSELF WILL BE DESTROYED ALONG WITH ALL OF ITS CREATIONS]

[THE CHALLENGER WILL BE TELEPORTED TO THE ENTRANCE AFTER COLLECTING THEIR REWARDS]

"The monsters created by the dungeon will die along with the core? Then I just have to deal with the boss..." Orion mumbled quietly as he pondered on the best way to deal with this situation.

"Let's get started!" Orion said loudly as a smile returned to his face.

Orion began his descent down the stairs to the entrance of the maze. When he scanned the maze from above he noticed that some walls and corridors would suddenly shift or disappear.

This was an endless maze that was created for the sole purpose of toying with whoever entered. Not only would there be an unknown amount of goblins lying in ambush but there seemed to be countless traps hidden as well.

Orion reached the entrance of the maze and looked up in disgust as the gate was composed of countless bones from what looked like different sized humans and beasts.

Orion stepped through the gate without a second thought when suddenly.

*CLACK*

His first step caused a loud clack and the ground suddenly opened wide. There were countless spikes at the bottom of the pitfall awaiting Orion's fall.

Orion wasn't fazed and majestically did a front flip as he fell. He angled his body so that his back was facing the spikes. Orion tucked his legs and allowed his huge tortoise shell to make first contact with the spikes.

*BAM*

The loud crash bent the spikes but the spikes were made of metal which was able to hold Orion up. At the moment, Orion looked like a turtle flipped on its back.

"What a drag.." Orion was calm but he now understood how ridiculous this place was. Orion reached his arms above his head as he held onto two spikes. He kicked his legs up as he sent his body backwards into a handstand.

Displaying his monstrous strength, Orion effortlessly moved towards the walls as he grabbed onto one spike after another while his body remained straight as a rod in a handstand.

Once he reached the wall, Orion exhaled a large breath and began to circulate his mana into his hands. Making a claw with his fingers he easily pierced the wall, pulling his large body upwards.

It only took a couple of seconds to climb back out of the pit fall. Once he was back into the maze, what greeted him was a small group of hobgoblin mages about to release their fireballs at the end of the corridor.

"Shit.." Orion didn't have a second to think as the eight fireballs were already headed his way. Since the hallway was narrow, the eight fireballs merged into a single giant ball of furious fire.

In an instant, Orion jumped back into the pitfall and dug his fingers into the walls. The hellish fire ball flew past the pitfall and Orion could feel the scorching heat even when he was a couple meters away.

"Damn! This isn't normal fire, why the hell is it so hot?" Orion was shocked that the temperature could reach such high temperatures.

[MANA FIRE HAS THE ABILITY TO REACH ASTRONOMICALLY HIGH TEMPERATURES]

"That's awesome..." Orion replied as he positioned himself with his back facing the wall and began day dreaming of roasting meat on this kind of fire.

"Huuuu...." Orion exhaled steam and suddenly catapulted himself into the air. The hobgoblins were surprised as Orion flew high and reached behind his back.

*SWOOSH SWOOSH*

His two axes shredded through the air and reached the group of hobgoblins instantly. They all died instantly with expressions of unwillingness on their faces.

*BAM*

Orion landed on his feet and was amazed at the destructiveness from the previous fireball. The walls and floor were melting and scorched black.

'Looks like learning magic would be worth it,' Orion thought to himself as he continued moving forward. Orion closed his eyes as he used his mana sense to locate all the traps.

There were tiles that seemed to be out of place that could only be triggers for other traps. He easily avoided them all and continued forward.

Orion walked straight towards the wall at the end of the corridor, his options now were to either go right or left. However, Orion exhaled a breath of steam as he channeled his mana into his hand and suddenly punched the wall in front of him.

*BAAMM*

The wall crumbled and revealed the hall on the other side. It was going horizontally instead of straight ahead so Orion reached the other wall right away.

*BAAMM*

The wall fell again and revealed another hall in front of Orion. He could now hear the light footsteps of goblins rushing towards him from all angles.

*BAM*

*BAM*

*BAM*

Orion continued to plow through the walls one after another as the footsteps came closer and closer. Suddenly a group of hobgoblins entered Orion's mana sense from behind and madly rushed at Orion.

The holes on the wall only allowed the hobgoblins to come at him one by one. Orion unsheathed a Wakizashi and pointed it at the hobgoblins rushing towards him.

Suddenly, the blade had a blue hue that slowly became brighter. The mana blade instantly became condensed as it stretched forward in the blink of an eye. The Wakizashi was a thin blade and was much smaller compared to his other swords so the blade was perfect for this situation.

The mana blade was condensed and thin as it reached eight meters in length, instantly skewering the group of goblins that were in a single line.

Orion sheathed his Wakizashi and continued heading straight towards the large doors on the other side of the maze.

He would destroy a couple of walls before another group of hobgoblins appeared. Sometimes there was a goblin mage as well but was instantly killed without issues.

This routine continued for a while as Orion bypassed the entire maze. He finally reached the large metal doors about a half hour later and looked around. He saw piles of bones from humans and beasts everywhere which enraged him.

There was no goblin in sight as it seemed they only stayed in the maze. Orion came across a couple of clearings where goblins seemed to live. Each clearing had about 100 hobgoblins but were easily dealt with.

Orion didn't delay any further and pushed the large doors open. Instantly, a putrid smell hit Orion's nostrils making him furrow his brow. He pushed through his disgust and walked into the large room.

At the end of the room there was a large silhouette sitting on a stone throne. The room was dark and became pitch black as soon as the large doors closed by themselves.

*Snap* *crunch crunch crunch*

Orion could hear a noise coming from the silhouette when suddenly the torches on the walls began lighting themselves up one by one. When the room was fully illuminated, Orion's rage almost made him charge straight ahead.

There was a pile of corpses beside the throne and unrecognizable body parts and bones everywhere. The goblin sitting on the throne was about the same size as Orion and was munching on what looked like an arm.

The amount of corpses and bones reached a staggering amount and made Orion furious. The large goblin king looked at Orion with arrogance and spoke up, "Human fly, you've been running rampant in my domain. I'll have to teach you a lesso-"

*BOOM*

Orion didn't bother releasing his aura and bloodlust anymore since it had no effect on the goblins under the goblin king's buffs. Now, however, he didn't hold anything back as his rage began to consume Orion's rationality.

The goblin king was feeling something he hadn't felt in years, ever since it was a mere goblin. This fear and pressure reminded it about the day its goblin village was destroyed by orcs and itcame face to face with death.

Orion's aura shrouded the entire room and the goblin king felt suffocated from what he began to see. An ocean of blood, bodies and weapons covered the ground as menacing waves of black, red and purple energy seemed to cut the air around Orion.

Orion's golden eyes behind his mask began to shine radiantly making him seem like a demon with his mask and armor on. Orion looked terrifying in the goblin kings eyes but what scared it the most was the towering behemoth standing behind Orion.

The room was large but it instantly felt like they were transported onto an angry ocean made of blood with countless bodies and weapons. There was no longer any walls or floors as they stood atop the bloody ocean.

The sunset was melancholy and the skies were furious. The behemoth behind Orion felt real and fearsome beyond belief.

It seemed as if Orion was loosing his sanity due to rage but was surprisingly able to remain sane and clear headed even though his rage didn't subside.

The goblin king opened his mouth as he was about to scream at Orion but was cut off by him instead.

"Shut your fucking mouth, trash. I hope you enjoyed your final meal."
