Chapter 53 - Crepe and pizza

With this thought, I rolled up my shirt sleeve in preparation for making sweets. The first two foods I will bring to this world are the crepe and the pizza. Both are easy to make, as the main ingredients for both are eggs, milk, flour, and sugar. Strangely enough, sugar in this world is not as expensive as salt. As I learned after doing some research, all the salt that the nobles use comes from the sea. When I found this out, I wondered if there are salt mines in this world.

With this in mind, I start making the dough for both, using the ingredients I bought. As soon as I finish preparing the dough, I take the pizza dough to the oven while I prepare the crepe dough in a pan. While both doughs are on the fire, I start preparing the filling for both. The crepe will have homemade whipped cream, while the pizza will have a filling made with tomato paste. While all this process was being done, Ammy was behind me, looking intently at what I was doing. Her eyes followed the rhythm of my hand without missing a step. It seemed as if she was being hypnotized, which made the scene quite funny.

After the pastries were finished, I started to fill both the crepe and the pizza. Finally, after about 2 hours, both meals were ready. When I turned around, I noticed that Ammy was still looking at the two foods, almost drooling.

"Are you still here? I thought you had already left"

I said, confused.

(Did she really watch me for two whole hours?)

Hearing my words, Ammy seems to have come to her senses.

"Oh, and that... when I was about to leave, I looked at you cooking, and the next thing I knew, I was already focused on the food you were preparing"

Said Ammy, turning her gaze back to the crepe and pizza again.

"Do you want to try it?"

I said, as I pointed to the crepe and pizza.

"Can I?"

Ammy asked excitedly.

"Sure, I was already going to ask you and Rebecca to try it anyway"

I said as I walked to the door.

"I'll call Rebecca so we can taste it together"

As soon as I said this, I opened the door and walked to Rebecca's office. With two knocks on the door, Rebecca appeared, asking if I needed anything. As soon as I explained the situation to her, she agreed to help me with the tasting. Minutes later, it was me, Ammy, and Rebecca in Ammy's living room, with two foods on a table. Both Ammy and Rebecca were looking at the foods with great interest.

"Okay, let's have a taste"

I said. Saying this, I moved over to the crepes and picked up all three, handing them out to Ammy and Rebecca. After getting the crepes, Ammy and Rebecca looked at me, asking if they could eat. As soon as I nodded, they both took a bite. As they both took a bite, they stood still for a few seconds.

(... is it not good?)

I asked myself, looking at the crepe. At least in appearance, it looked exactly like the ones from my past life, both the crepe and the pizza. And while this thought was in my head, they both let out an extremely loud scream.

"W-What's that? It's so yummy"

Said Ammy, with her eyes shining.

"And the first time I've ever eaten something like this"

Rebecca said, sighing with relief. I finally eat mine to see what it tastes like.

(Not exactly the same as in my past life... but still tasty)

I thought as I ate the crepe with gusto. After me, Ammy and Rebecca had eaten the crepes, it was time for pizza.

"This is the last food I prepared"

I said, cutting three slices of pizza. As soon as I handed the slices to Ammy and Rebecca, they both started to eat without waiting for my signal.

"T-Too good"

Said Ammy and Rebecca at the same time. With a smile on my face, I finished eating my slice of pizza.

"So, do you two think the two foods will sell?"

I asked. Hearing my question, both Ammy and Rebecca repeatedly shook their heads up and down.

"I'm sure it will be a hit. Food as good as this and impossible to find in this world"

Rebecca said.

(Well... I don't deny it. After all, the recipe really comes from another world)

I thought with a smile on my face.

"The ingredients are easy to get and also quite easy to prepare"

I said, taking a piece of paper and writing the recipe for the crepe and pizza on it.

"Here, this is the recipe for the pizza and the crepe. As soon as the stores are officially opened, we will start selling them"

I said, handing the recipes to Rebecca. After that, the day went on as usual. Although Rebecca and Ammy wanted to eat more crepes and pizzas, I unfortunately didn't have the ingredients anymore. Anyway, I had only bought enough to make them once. With that, the next morning, I was at the gym again. Classes continued as normal without any problems. If I had to say anything strange, then it would be the fact that Emi hadn't been in for some time. I was already beginning to wonder if something might have happened.

In addition, I also found out that Edward had gone back to Storne. I was seriously starting to think that both the fact that Emi was missing these days and the fact that Edward had gone back to Storne were connected. It was with this in mind that I sent a letter to Aria, asking why Emi was not coming to the academy. As in this world, there is no telephone, I would have to wait at least two days to receive an answer from Aria. Two days later, Aria sent me a letter containing the answer to my question. While I read the letter, I kept wondering if what I was reading was really real or not.
