After the opening of the mall, some time has passed; in the meantime, the mall has become one of the main places of commerce in the kingdom of Solaris. Besides being a great place for shopping since everything is very close, the mall has also become somewhat of a place for sightseeing, as many people go there just to pass the time strolling and looking around.
This part did not differ much from my old world, although I have never really managed to go to a mall. I have read in several places that malls are the ideal place to have a family meeting or outing.
Anyway, the mall was doing well, and thanks to the help of Rebecca and Rose, along with some other trusted staff, my presence is not totally necessary for the running of the mall. This meant that I was able to go to Crystal with total peace of mind.
Well before going to the country, I decided to do a little more in-depth research on what kind of country Crystal is, and this was the information I got.
Firstly, Crystal is a country notable for its rich and diverse culture, with a history rooted in deep traditions and a population passionate about artistic and intellectual expressions.
The landscapes of Crystal, according to the book, are breathtaking, vast green fields stretch to the horizon along with majestic mountain ranges and meandering rivers that reflect the purity and serenity of the environment.
There is also Crystal's architecture, which is a testament to the talent and skill of the local craftsmen. The kingdom is adorned with an imposing palace, elaborate temples, and elegant buildings that reflect unique architectural styles. The meticulous detail and intricate carvings adorn Crystal's museums, showing the pride they take in their culture.
Music is also a passion that flows through the veins of the people of Crystal. The melodic sounds of traditional instruments echo through public spaces, while talented artists perform in theaters and amphitheaters.
Dance also holds a special place in the culture, with graceful movements and exciting choreography that tell stories and express deep feelings.
Another point to consider is Crystal's gastronomy, which is a celebration of local flavors and abundant ingredients. Traditional dishes are prepared with care and creativity, reflecting the diversity of the local cuisine.
Banquets are special occasions, with tables laden with delicious delicacies that satisfy the palate and the soul. When I read about it, I was really curious to know what kind of food I would get to witness.
Crystal also seems to have art galleries and libraries that preserve and promote the cultural wealth of the country. Local artists have the opportunity to exhibit their works and share their talent with the world.
Literature, painting, sculpture, and other forms of artistic expression are valued and encouraged, enriching the cultural life of the country. Somehow, after finding out all this about the country, I was genuinely eager to get to Crystal.
"What are you reading, Ren?"
A voice echoed from inside the carriage as we moved towards Crystal. It had been a while since we had left Solaris, and it was only a short while before we reached our destination. The person who had asked me this question was my mother. Anna was sleeping on my father's lap, while my father ironically slept along with her.
"And just a book about Crystal. I thought it would be good to prepare myself in advance about what we might see once we get there"
I said as the scenery passed quickly through the carriage window. My mind was filled with images and expectations. Both in this life and the previous one, this would be my first time going to another country. Reading would prepare me to embrace every moment that awaited us in Crystal with renewed enthusiasm.
"Hummm... I wonder if they have any romance books. The ones you gave me were really good"
Said my mother out of the blue, catching my attention. Looking at her, a silly smile was stamped on her face, probably as she thought of how many books she would be able to read since we were going to the country that was considered the nation of culture. By the way, my mother's interest in books started after she began her literacy classes.
Thinking that it might be tiring for her, I bought some books that I thought a grown woman would like and encouraged her to read. Although it helped with her literacy, it ended up creating an addiction to that kind of book.
(Well, if she is happy, I guess it's okay)
I thought as I looked at my mother's face with a soft smile on my face. By the way, we were also being accompanied by the royal family, they were behind us, coming in two other carriages.
"Ummm... I can still eat more pizza"
A voice suddenly echoed inside the carriage, catching my attention. As soon as I looked at the owner of the voice, I saw Anna sleeping with a smile on her face, while a small stream of drool came out of her mouth. This caused my mother and me to let out a few giggles.
After that, the way to Crystal went on steadily and quietly. Just before we reached Crystal, we stopped in a town and spent the night there. The royal family apparently has some properties in towns like these for this kind of occasion.
As night fell, the brightness of the stars illuminated the town where we stopped to rest before our arrival in Crystal. The next day, we continued our journey to Crystal with the first rays of sunlight illuminating the horizon.
Anticipation and anxiety grew in my heart as we approached the country. The green fields and majestic mountains that we could see through the carriage window were a constant reminder of the natural beauty that awaited us in Crystal.
