Clayton

I ran my hands through my hair with a sigh, "Dammit! This is all Harmony's fault!"

With a growl, I hurried through the halls until I spotted Harmony talking with Shelby and Mercedes. Harmony smirked when she spotted me approaching.

"Hello Clayton, how is your day going so far?" She taunted

"I'm not here to talk about me. I'm here to ask what you told Eve! Get it through your thick skull, we will never be together! So drop it and move on!"

She just scoffed, then said, " Not gonna happen Clay. If I can't have you, then no one can."

I growled, clenching my fists in frustration.

Harmony and I grew up together, and we both belong to the same Guardian pack. My father was a local shaman, but her father was the Alpha's, right-hand man. I knew that her father didn't treat her and her little sister well after her mother died, but this obsession with me is getting old.

With a sigh, I pointed my finger at her, then said, "If you do something to Eve, you will become my enemy. Back off now while I still consider you a friend."

"But Clay, I don't want to be your friend"

I shook my head, then ran my hands through my hair, feeling overwhelmed. "Just leave her alone, please."

The bell chose that moment to ring, "Damit!" I growled, punching at a locker that thundered through the empty halls.

"That's enough, Branham; get to class before I give you a detention." warned Mr. Jackson.

With a nod, I headed towards the cafeteria.
