Chapter11: Pull

Even as the word left her mouth, her brain refused to accept it. There was no way Thea could be her fated mate; it made absolutely no sense. Though, what had made sense in the past week? Nothing. So, of course, something like this would happen out of the blue and give her one more reason to spiral out.

It was as if she couldn’t catch a break. She had only just decided to accept her role as the newly chosen Alpha, why did that awakening have to tow this one along with it? With everything else going on, there wasn’t any time to…

The name flashed in her mind like a lit-up neon sign and her chest once again constricted. Memories of their first kiss hours before replayed on a loop. What she had felt then wasn’t a fluke, or some escapist trick of the mind, it had been real. So real in fact, Jaxx wasn’t keen on giving that up even considering what had just revealed itself between her and Thea.
