With every punch, she was punching on a punching bag, to release her anger, and the thundering noise that created made Blake wince. He tried to stop her, but before words formed, another punch shrank him; Blake covered his ear by inserting his index finger inside his ear to protect his hearing.
Feeling helpless, he saw the time on his smartwatch, waiting impatiently for any one of their group members to come and stop her, or else his hearing would get affected today, or his heart would get weakened.
Abigail was covered in sweat dripping down from her face and other body parts, her hair getting sweaty and stuck on her cheeks and neck.
Continuously punching for more than half an hour, her rage didn't subside.
Grinding her teeth, she punched most rigidly this time and hit the bag by her leg. She removed her gloves, throwing them without looking anywhere; she took deep breaths holding her knees for balance.
The voice of her heartbeat was loud enough to be heard from every corner of the room. She kept her eyes closed to steady herself.
Blake released a relaxed breath, "Thank God. I won't have survived if it lasted a little longer."
She ignored him completely when Chloe and Kimberly dashed into her room, which was built for her to keep her work private, and only specific people were allowed to enter.
"Abigail, have you gone mad?" Chloe yelled at her the moment she stepped into the room; Kimberly went to her and held Abigail's hand to check for the level of injuries she had given herself.
"How did you know I am here?" releasing her hand from Kimberly's hold, she asked them, picking a towel to clean her face and hand from sweat.
"Blake sent us your video," Kimberly said to her recovering first aid box from the cupboard. Abigail glanced at Blake, arching her brow.
"Care to explain, Mr. Blake, why to call them.” A sheepish smile crept on Blake's lips with the pointed look she gave him.
"I just got afraid," Blake said to the girls rubbing his hand at the back of his head. Kimberly and Chloe smiled at him, but Abigail rolled her eyes at his stupidity.
"Tell us why so furious. Did you hear any news that upset you so badly?" Chloe asked Abigail, stopping her from scolding Blake for his silliness. Kimberly looked at her questioningly; Blake's curiosity increased, and curiosity killed the cat. Blake gets near the girls to listen; Abigail takes advantage; using her long legs, she kicks him on the leg.
"Owww," Black backed away due to pain holding his calf in hand, shouting at her.
"Abigail, I hate you."
"Same here," Abigail said with a smirk on her face.
"Enough now, tell what you heard?" Kimberly did her dressing on injuries on knuckles, keeping the box at the side, she asked Abigail with a stern face.
"The murderer belongs to my mother's family." grimace on her face, she informed them. They were shocked by the news; Chloe was first coming back to her senses.
"I'm sorry" These were the only words she could say to her. Abigail just nodded to her.
"What will you do now? It's another country we are talking about." Blake asked, thinking about how they would deal.
"They kicked my mother out from home, ended every relationship with her, and later killed her." Her voice trembled, and tears welled in her eyes; all looked at her with pain in their eyes
She stood, her hand fisted, "I will not leave whoever is behind her accident. I will get that murderer. I will go to France, where evidence is hidden, where the murderer lives peacefully."
She hit her dressed hand fist on a punching bag; her voice filled with fury, " Whoever you are, I'm coming to you; watch Your Back."
