I loved this novel from beginning to end; I laughed, I cried, I went into despair and I got so involved in the story that living after I finished it will be horrible 😭 I got SO attached to Fei Du and Wenzhou!! Thank you so much for translating 💙 it was a beautiful adventure from start to finish <3

okay, so I read this book 2 years ago and I reread it this month, so it's definitely worth rereading because it's that good! starting from the plot and it's intensity to the characters, their development and their relationship, and how their dynamics are portrayed it's all just brilliant. the writing style * also translation?* is very good and smooth, too. I really love this book. It was fun to read (reread), and I enjoyed it very much. 10/10 recommended ❤️

I was lucky to have Silent Reading as my introduction into Priest’s books. I have now read Sha Po Lang, Can Ci Pin, and Guardian (Zhen Hun), but Mo Du remains my favorite. One great feature is the translation. I have to confess that I do not know Chinese at all so I cannot comment on its accuracy, but I can definitely say that it is good writing. E. Danglars deserves all the praise. I loved the cases, the whole story (even though one has to suspend disbelief in parts of it), the glimpses in the Chinese culture, and the relationship between the main characters. Luo Wenzhou is my knight in shining armor. Him, his parents and his cat. I adore him. Also, the humor is outstanding.

I don’t usually enjoy modern danmei like Mo Du, but I’ve heard a lot about the love story being enjoyable and the plot being great. Usually I read xianxia, but this and Priest’s other work Zhen Hun were a nice change of pace. I had a lot of fun reading it, I liked how it didn’t fall into a certain characer-pattern, and everyone kept learning and changing along the way. Some moments even had me a bit choked… ahhh, this is some great writing!

I loved the series, but I love the novel even more.

I really liked the Story and the Worldbuilding and Characters. Its a Pity that i didn't understand the Romance between MC and ML and i was left with a bittersweet feeling about the two .. But Overall i enjoyed it!👍
