Robbery

Gladi was in his room texting and he heard a knock on the main door of their house. He stopped and moved to the door immediately. He opened and an old man could be seen drunk on and lying on the floor. On that spot Gladi knew who this man was, it was his grand-father who had always return home drunk after going out a while. It was quite a habit of him. He helped his grand-father out by lift him from the floor. Gladi placed his grand-father's hand around his neck and took to his room.

The old man lied on his and without taking much time he fell into a deep sleep. As his grand-father was enjoying his sleep a person dressed in black came to his room through the opened window he didn't close. The figure took a golden piece from the drawer near where the old man was sleeping. As he was closing the drawer a little sound woke up the sleeping old man. He opened his eyes and with his breath he shouted. "Thief, thief" because he lived in the house with only Gladi he was the one that came to the old man's aid. When Gladi entered his grand-father's room he could see the figure exiting the lawn of their house.

He jumped through the window perfectly knowing he is going to land safely on the trash that's outside. Even that didn't mean he shouldn't embrace himself for impact. As he landed he felt a little pain in his knee but ignored it because the thief has already left the compound. Gladi went out the house through the main gate and he saw the figure making his way to the junction along the pavement. Gladi was a quick boy so he chased after the person. As they kept running the distance between them was closing. Now Gladi is in a good range, the thief saw this when he turned around to check the distance between both of them. He decided to cross the road that was next to the pavement. He kept looking at Gladi who is punching range as he tried crossing the road. He moved onto the path of the road to cross at the same time looking at Gladi. This caused him to forget the basic rules in crossing a road thereby get knocked by a car.

The car made impact on a half side of his body so he was knocked to the other side of the road. Gladi saw and this and wanted to go after the car who kept moving forward even after it had knocked a person off the road. This thought soon left his head after he saw the badly injured thief still trying to get away by sliding on his belly slowly with his hands as support. He couldn't even imagine what at all would someone gratefully risk their life for. He ignored the car and moved to the thief. Besides it's not like he was even going to catch up to it if he followed.

The figure stopped moving as he saw Gladi blocking his path. He lied there helpless with blood oozing out of his broken shoulder and broken leg.

"Take … this" the figure said in a low tone showing that it was a man under the mask. He perfectly knew he couldn't talk much due to his lungs and chest hurting really bad, but he can at least make sure what he took is in good hands. He saw how Gladi was staring at the car that drove away with angry face, he knew instantly that Gladi is a good person at heart. He even cares for the life of a person who has stolen from him. Many people would have been really happy that the car did what it did and would say that's what is expected to happen to a thief. But Gladi didn't he just felt pity for him.

Gladi stretched out his hands to take the golden piece from the man's hands. He rotated it and it seem like a magnet cause it looks like one, with it curved side and two pointy parts that extends from the curved side. "Hey, do mind to tell me what this is" Gladi asked. "It's ... an artifact ... made of… gold. D... don't let the old man see it" he said and gave up the ghost. "Oh no!" Jadi said as he saw the man no longer talking nor breathing. With no choice he decided to live where he was before any sees he around a dead body. Besides it's not his fault the man is that condition.

Gladi kept thinking about the fact why he was told not to give the artifact to his grand-father. He didn't know why but he felt like believing the thief more than his own grand-father. If he was to give the artifact to his grand-father he didn't know what would actually happen and he can't ask for more details from the thief he is in no condition to talk. So, he decided to keep it from is old grumpy grand-father.

He reached home in a while and prepared himself to tell a goo lie if he wanted to keep the artifact a secret from his grand-father. He decided if he asks questions about what it is and the old man gives him accurate answers he would give it him but if he ignores then he keeps it.

"Did you get it" his grand-father asked as he entered through the main gate. The old man his sitting on the little staircase Infront on the house. "No, I didn't get to see what he took cause I didn't see him". "What do you mean by that".

"He got away before I even got close" Gladi said. "So ,he took it away" the old man murmured as he entered back in to the house. " Do you care to tell me what it was ". " You it's nothing my son don't worry" the old man said.

' As I figured he wants to keep it a secret that's why I have never seen it before. Well all I can do is hide It then' Gladi thought.

When the old man got to his room he kept thinking about what just happened. He sat on his bed and started to speak to himself. "So he came for it at last, I thought he never would, but why now, why come for it now has it started already" the old man said and lied on his bed
