Chapter Hundred and Sixty Five

What do you mean, you're traveling? Jade asked in shock. "It just a day trip and nothing else, I won't live there forever" "Of course I know that but the question here is would you make it to the fair on time"

"Of course, I will the Fair starts by 4pm of course I'll be back". "What if there was an emergency conference on meeting afterward, what if you couldn't make it"

"First of all you should stop assuming and they won't be any emergency meeting or so". "I'm just saying that we really need you all day so we could probably prepare".

"I know that but I can't do anything now". "You should talk to your dad, you should tell him that you have other plans". "Really, should I?  "Of course if this Fair is really important to you, you could make a decision not to go"

"I can't do that Jade, I have to go please just understand" "What do you mean you can't, just tell your dad, he won't have a problem unless the reason you're going is to represent the big man's daughter"

"Gosh! Jade! Gina you should say something" Gina looked up to her two friends absent-minded. "What?  "What  do mean by that what? Haven't you been listening?

"Of course....yeah....I have" age sluttered sitting up.  "Then say something! Jade half screamed at her. "Ummm, I think..... Sunny would have cancel the trip with her father if it that easy, we should try and understand her"

"Are you being serious now, tell me how hard this can be, Hello dad, I'm so sorry, Theirs this Fair that I really need to go and I can't make the trip with you maybe some other time"

"Really? Sunny and Gina both chorused making Jade to slumped back to the chair nearby in disappointment. "Okay, fine, it not that easy but promise me you'll make it to the Fair".

"Of course, I will, you don't have to worry about that" Sunny assured and turned to Gina who had grown quiet again. "Are you okay? You seems cold?

"Umm, I'm fine" she replied smiling up at them  "Are you sure, you don't seem fine? "Of course, I'm fine, I just have a lot that I'm thinking about, You know the last text and all, it just nothing so you don't have to worry about anything" "Sure if you say so"

Gina took a cab after school to Tina's office, she really hate being here but she don't seem to have a choice and of course Tara's assistance has already known of her arrival, she just smiled and waved her in.

"Who do we have here" Tara smiled and sat back as she watched her little spy come in the office. "Nice to see you again Gina" Gina only nodded without saying anything and waited for Tara's permission to sit.

After several minutes or silent, Tara beckoned her to sit. "So what do you have for me? Tara waited, this was a very good idea to keep a very close watch on Sunny now she knows whatever she was planning.

"We're planning on going to a Fair". "A Fair? Gina nodded. "Yeah, Sunny can't stop mentioning about it this past few days

"Yes, we're planning on going with Josh". "You mean Andrews son". Gina nodded "That's nice but the last thing I wanted now is for that boy to be anywhere near my daughter, don't you think Gina".

"Of course" she respond and waited. "Anything else? Tara looked at her in question. "Ummm....but Sunny's is going for a trip and we're worried that maybe she wouldn't make it to the Fair".

"Isn't it a nice thing if she couldn't make it? She have a great responsibility than you guys and I wouldn't want her to spend her time messing around....." Gina nodded again even though those words hurt a lot.

"I don't mean to hurt your feelings you know that right". "Yes ma, I know that". "That's why I love you Gina, you're so understanding but you don't have to worry maybe she would be able to make it to the....Fair"

The way she said it made it sounds disgusting and irritating, but Gina smiled not giving away her thought.

"Thanks ma". "And I want you to keep an eye on Josh boy, if you notice anything, don't hesitate to let me know"

"Of course, I won't, I will tell you as soon as I notice anything". Tara smiled approvily at her. "You can now leave" Gina hesitated both stood and left the office.

She felt worst that usual, she hated herself more but she couldn't quit this even though each visit was draining her mentally"

Andrew looked at his wrist watch for a million time, it wasn't because she was late, it was because he was being anxious.

Maybe she wouldn't show you and leave him here to Wait like a fool, he drank the cup of whiskey that he had ordered and glared at the watch again.

What if she decided to end the relationship, no she won't do that, she only wanted a break and nothing else. Gosh! Why was he thinking too much, he won't look at his wrist watch again maybe when if he focus on his drink he wouldn't know when she arrives.

He raised the glass up to his lips and immediately jerked when he Heard someone's voice behind him.

"I'm I late? He turned to see his wife standing beside him. "Ummm, he glanced back at his watch. "Not really". "I'm glad" Christina smiled while Andrew stood up to draw our a seat for her.

"He glanced at his wife without saying a word, he could see how much he had missed her. "I'm sorry......, He said slowly choosing his words carefully.

"I'm really sorry for hurting you, I didn't mean to....". "So you spoke to your ex girlfriend? Andrews looked at her in surprise.

"Josh told me, that she came over". "Yeah, yeah, ummm ...I invited her over....." He felt lost of words, he haven't felt this way in front of his wife before.

"I....I was the one that invited her over, I just wanted to get to know something....just sort things out before speaking with you". "And....? She asked glaring at him, this only made him to think back to the discussion he had with her but he really found out something.

Of course, he had loved her all these years even when he tried to despise and hate her, he had thought about her each time wondering if he'll ever get to see her again and when he met her in the bench.

Despite missing her, he knows that he'll never love her the same way again. He has a wife who he found out that he now loves more than her, he looked up to his wife with his usual smile on his found.

"Do you know what I found out?  "What Christina asked waiting for the worst maybe, "I found out that all this time that I thought that I still love her and misses her, it was just only to ask her some unanswered question that I need answers to.

I found out that their is woman I loved More than her and that woman is you....I really love you Christina and I mean it" she just sat and watched her husband in silence not saying a word.

She was hurting and at the same time relief. "Are you still angry with me? Andrew asked when she didn't reply. "Of course, I'm not ... just hungry" age smiled.

"I don't think that would be the problem" he beckoned the waiter who brought food for them after a few minutes.

"I don't know you speaks with Josh?  "Sure, I do, I only contacted him a few weeks ago, do you think I wouldn't miss my son?  "No, that's not what I meant".

"I'm glad to know that". "So.....so are you coming back home, we really miss you" Christina glared at him. "I mean.....I miss you so much".  But she shook his head.

"I still need some break....away from the house... and you too". "why, even after we have sorted our issues out". "Yeah, I still need some time on my own".

"You could have all the time you need when you come back". "I don't think it would be the same Andrew but.....just know this I'm no more angry on you". He nodded still having a lot to say maybe to convince her to come back with him.

"Nothing you'll say would make me change my mind Andrew, I'll come home or now". "Sure, anything you want just take you" he finally gave in but wouldn't quit easily.

"Would you like to join us for dinner on Saturday, Josh would like to see you". She considered in for a while knowing how badly Andrew wanted her home.

But she wouldn't give in so easily "Well, Dinner then on Friday" she stood up. "I'll take my leave then, we'll see on Saturday" Andrew smiled and walked her out of the restaurant before making his way home.

He was a bit relief, everything was going to go back to normal he believed so and hope that Rebecca would finally get Sunny back.

Sunny paced around her room still trying to understand what her parents had been talking about when she had walked in on them yesterday.

"This was the first time she saw his father saying those words, he had always been calm and cool but hearing him mention about destroying Rebecca's company, and his mother speaking like that .....

It really send chills to her bones and now she couldn't seems to forget Words Rebecca had said to her and remembering it now shook something within her.

"What had they been discussing maybe it was just because they both Rebecca, it might be nothing and here she was, worrying herself to death.

She lay at her bed to rest and just then her phone rang of course it was Josh, we went over to the balcony, of course it was him.

She made her way downstairs to see him. She had grown use to him coming by the time of the evening or would she say night.

"Hey" he waved at her as she walked up to him. "Hi, she replied knowing immediately that something was wrong since he made a face at her.

"Spill it out! Sunny demanded. "I heard that you're going on a trip from Jade". "Jeez she could never shut her mouth"

Sunny looked back at Josh concerned face. "You don't have to worry about anything I had already assured both her and Gina that I'll make it to the Fair"

"They'll be sad if you don't". "Yeah I know that and I'm going to try my best". He nodded and the both made they're way to the garden taking the route outside the road.

"You looking worried what's wrong?  "Just.....he stopped and kicked a stone nearby. "I haven't told you this, my parents....." He is sighed but continued. "my parents are having some issues but today my father decided to sort things out between them but I'm worried"

"Worried about what time exactly? "My mum sometimes might be very hard to convince at that and I just want this to end .....you know, the quarrels and break from each other"

"You don't have to worry I'm sure they'll sort it out just fine, it going be alright" "I hope so". They walked for another few minutes in silence before Sunny decided to speak up.

"I overheard my parents talking about Rebecca" she said and hearing herself say it loud made it sound weird. "What do you hear?

"I don't know, it sounds weird but I don't think that theirs a reason for any reason for me to worry but I'm worried". "Will you tell me what's wrong or will you continue blabbering"

Sunny stopped and hesitated for a while, she should have pushed this away from her mind, their was no need for her to think or say it but here she was talking to Josh about it.

"I Heard them talking about how they'll destroy her company and they seem very happy and they also talked about how she was quit easily and leaving.... what really triggered my attention is how they stopped the discussion immediately I walked in.....

She turned to Josh but when he didn't say anything, she even got more fustrated with herself. "I think I'm overthinking unnecessary things..... right? Just forget I ever said anything, this is just nothing"

She tried to smile and cover up the awkward feeling that's she have. "Why do you think, your parents changed the discussion when you walked in? Josh finally asked and patiently waited for her to answer.

"I think they both don't want anything to disturb me and they know quite well that talking about Rebecca around me  really upsets me.

"You think that's the reason they stopped saying and enjoying the bad deed they'll do to Rebecca? Sunny went quiet for some minute and after a while she looked up at him with a complete different expression.

"Do you know what? Just forget we have this conversation, theirs nothing to worry about". "Well if you say so" Josh replied and made a move to continue their walk.

"I think I need to go back now". "Now? He asked again because he was sure it was too soon, they haven't spend minutes long like they use to.

"Yeah, I have something to work on". "Sure then" he turned and they both went back to the mansion in silent, he guess their wasn't much to talk about and he totally understand as they both were lost in their own thought.

He thought about Rebecca, the day she dropped by at the house and how she and his dad spends hours discussing, he had locked himself upstairs fighting the urge to meet and have the chat with her.

He wanted to get to know her but he told himself that it wasn't of any use, he gave his Father the privacy they both need and also fearing evadropping, he doesn't want to hear anything that may hunt him for days.

Hie thinks that he had known enough of his father love life and didn't wish you know more, it was better thus way and now he felt the urge of telling Sunny that her mum dropped by.

But the fear of loosing her presence for a week or maybe forever made him to seal his lips shut. He had promised to keep out of her private life and that's what he'll do, they finally came to a Stop in front of the mansion, he waited for her to go inside just  to make sure She was safe and secure.

"Thanks for the walk Josh, it really helped me clear my mind, I think I'm thinking  more clearly than before". "You're welcome" Josh smiled and waved her a goodnight before finally watch as she went inside the house.
