"Good day mam, I'm here for Gina" *How were you doing Jade" she watched Gina's mother smile as she cleans the kitchen. "I'm fine" she gave a brief smile, she could tell that she knows she was lying, the last thing she felt now was fine.
"I know it been really hard knowing what had happened to your friends but it going to be okay she'll be found soon" Jade nodded and tried not to speak because she didn't want to give out how much she was hurting.
It had been hard for them this day to smile, it was really painful knowing that Sunny was out there all alone, she was in danger. She felt her heart collapsing each time she thinks about it, her best friend was nowhere to be found.
Gina's mother came around and hugged her. "It going to be okay Jade, she's going to be found in no time" she nodded afraid to speak.
"Gina's is upstairs... this day it's hard t get her to eat anything, she speaks so little and stays in her bed all day" Jade could see the pain in her eyes but she just stood not knowing what to do.
"It's fine, you can go up and meet her, if you need anything don't fail to let me know" "Thanks" she turned and made her way upstairs, each moment realizing she could be of any help to get friends drove pain deep in her heart...
She waited for a few seconds before knocking on her door. "Mum you know the door's always open", she heard her from inside and pushed the door open.
"It's not your mum but me" Gina raised from the bed she was laying on and looked straight at her. "Any news? "No, not yet" she replied hating the fact that she wasn't here with the news of Sunny's return instead she was here to share how much pain she had been in for weeks.
She made her way to Gina's couch, sitting and folding her legs under her. "How are you doing? She finally asked when she was finally sitting more comfortably on the couch.
" You know hoping that wherever she was that's she save and they're going to find her soon, I couldn't imagine the pain her mother is going through now". Jade nodded, silently looking around her room.
It was messed up, she knows without no one telling her how much pain Gina was in "These days the last thing I soy attention to is my room" "Me too...you know not knowing where she is or if she's saved...it just too much and no one knows where she is" she sighed, cuddling the pink pillow next to her.
"I asked myself a thousand times, how she hit missing in a blink of an eye, we were there with her, and then she left what if we had stayed with her, what if we had forced her not to leave us instead of allowing her to walk away"
"The last thing you'll do now blames yourself, things happen Gina, and that night...". "But I wish I was there, that I had saved her from getting kidnapped, I just wish...Jade"
"I too, Gina, I wished but now all I pray for is for her to get found, for us to finally meet our friend" she looked and saw Gina's eyes filled with tears, she also wanted to cry.
Jade stood up from the bed and made her way straight to Gina. "Hey, come here" she wrapped her arm around her and allow her to rest her head on her shoulder.
"All we can do now is pray that she comes back safely to us". She patted her back gently, she hope that wherever her friend was that she was safe.
Rebecca looked at the dozen pills that were scattered on her desk, she had resolved to take medicine just to make the annoying pain in her head go away.
She has been suffering from severe pain since the day her daughter for missing, all the medicine she had been taking seems futile. All she wanted was for the pain to go away but instead, it seems to get worse each passing day.
Her phone rang, pulling her back to reality, these days she hurriedly answered each call excepting news of her daughter but finds herself being disappointed each time.
She checked the caller ID and found it was John who was calling her, maybe he had found someone close fo Samuel. She slides the answer button excepting to hear something good.
"Hello, Becca" "Hello, Any news yet? She couldn't wait to hear what he have for her " Yes, we got something here" "News of my daughter's whereabouts, tell me what you have John". "Not yet, Becca but the man called and told us he has something,
He gave us the name of Samuel's friend and where we might find him". "I thought he said he didn't know anything else and couldn't be of help why now...after a week on keeping us bare".
" I don't know, he said he finally remembered that Samuel's always visited his girlfriend downtown at the city club" Becca felt mad. "He knew all along and kept us away, he made us more around for weeks while he could had save us some fucking time.
" Right now, all we need to focus on is finding this girl, since she's his girlfriend, she might be in contact with him" "What time are we leaving? "We have to wait till late evening that's the inky time we might see her there".
When the call disconnected, she felt angry, bare, and a little hopeful. They were getting close to finding her daughter, so close she could feel in.
She slumped down in the armchair nearby and exhale slowly "Just hold in tight baby, we'll come to save you" but now she needed to be somewhere, she had a lot of things to take care of.
Tara watched the man she had called her husband laying lifeless on the hospital bed, the man who had imprisoned her in her own home and lied to everybody.
She didn't know that he would be able to survive the shot but despite that, she wasn't yet done exacting her revenge on him. She was going to leave him here for some time, just to torture him for a while.
"You just have to enjoy this little time I'm giving you because it won't be long for you to end up in a place you're finally meant to be" she couldn't help but smile just then the door opened and she looked up to find Rebecca at the door.
"What an unexpected visit" Tara said immediately changing her expression. "I'm I band in coming? Rebecca asked as she made her way inside, finding out that she was wearing another think sweatshirt, covering all her arms and neck.
Something seems suspicious because the Tara she knew always love showing more skin. "If I can find a way to do that, I wouldn't hesitate" Becca nodded and watched her quietly.
"You seem to be out of fashion lately" she commented instead and watched her face grow pale in an instant, something was definitely wrong, she concluded.
"How I dress is none is your business Rebecca, my husband couldn't be in hospital and you expect me to dress fashionably". "I'm not saying you should but that's what you always do, you never care about anyone except for yourself Tara".
"You should be out there searching for your daughter if at all she's really missing Rebecca". " The police are on it then, I'll know who the real culprit is".
"Well, we'll wait and find out and I'm still asking why you always come and visit because you and I know that you hated him so much so I don't see any reason you should be here because if you keep suspecting us, I'm letting you know it just a big waste of time"
Rebecca watched her grabbed her back and made to leave not so fast, she couldn't allow her to leave like that without finding out what really wrong.
"You left town a week from today, to where exactly? She watched her stop but couldn't see her face because that might have given her out and when she turned to her, her face was neutral.
" And how's it any of your business on where I go, I'm I being watched? "You haven't answered the questions Tara?
" And why would I do so, I don't think I owe you any explanation of a sort". "You should because you have a lot of secrets! Rebecca walked toward her in a blink of an eye, grabbing her hand and pulling the sweatshirt up to see the hidden scars.
She felt nauseous instantly as she looked at the deep white tissues on her wrist and the bright red bruises on her arm. " Explain this! Tara pulled her arm away from her almost knocking her over and rushed toward the door.
Rebecca can't allow her to leave, there was a lot of explanation she have to maybe she was close to knowing the whole truth...
