Chapter Two hundred and one

"It has been two days now and I still don't have any clue where my daughter is, I don't know if she's even safe". "We're doing everything we can to find Sunny". John reached out and held her gently by the shoulder.

"The police still don't have any clue about what happened that night! Rebecca was fighting to stay afloat because each minute, it seems as if she was drowning, she just have to stay strong for her daughter.

" At least now, we know where to look" John informed "The camera must few blocks from the school had seemed like a black car driving out of the area at the same time we began to search for Sunny".

Rebecca's eyes widened hearing this. "We have traced and found out that the owner of the car was an old man not leaving far away from the city.

That was something if they were right about this car then the owner might be the one who had taken her daughter from her...

"We shouldn't be here John, we shouldn't be wasting any more time now, we need to find my daughter!  "Sure, Becca, the car that would drive us there is still on the way" John gazed down at his wristwatch.

"No, we need to be careful, we have to keep a low profile and not draw any attention to ourselves, we don't know whose behind all of this even though we might have our suspect.

Throughout the whole drive, Rebecca just wishes that she would find her daughter, Sunny would be there waiting for her. She couldn't wait to embrace her daughter, she just couldn't wait.

An hour's drive down to the city, it was like the quietest side of the town, she didn't know what she had expected in the first place but all she prayed for was to be able to find get daughter safe and sound.

When they finally pulled in front of an old cottage, Rebecca was the first to get down from the car back here, and clearly, this might be the place her daughter was held.

John climbed down from the car and held her arm lightly. " We have to take this slowly, we don't know what we might find". She fought back the urge of rushing in and searching for her daughter.

She allowed John to take the lead while she followed behind, scanning the environment and being on the alert. Rebecca felt her heart pound heavily as John knocked on the door.

It wasn't up to a few minutes before an old grey man appeared at the door, he was just putting on a faded shirt and Nika and Rebecca couldn't help but wonder if he was capable of kidnapping her daughter.

"How can I help you? Even though he looks really old, his voice seems more stronger and stern.

"Things are not going good here we need to leave, we have a lot to catch up" Josh immediately froze on the staircase.

What was his mother saying, leaving was the last thing he had in mind now and he would never leave while Sunn us out there in danger. "Mum" she called drawing both of his parent's attention

"What did you mean about us leaving, Sunn is nowhere to be found and you're planning on leaving!  " Josh, that does not how your mother meant it" Andrew tried to explain, stepping close to him.

"I just heard what she said but how could you, knowing that what happened that night was my fault, you're planning on abandoning her?

"Son, I know things are so bad here but...". " Just know that if you guys want to leave, you can do so, and is not coming with you". He left trying his best to control his anger, why would they say so, Sunny was nowhere to be found, and their planning on leaving.

He can't just believe them, shy could they even think of that, he just wanted to leave...just to be anywhere.

Each minute without them knowing where Sunny is, felt like a thousand pain had been inflicted on him. He can't just leave, he was going to wait for her...he was going to wait till she comes back that's when his heart would be at peace.

Rebecca sat on the brown couch with them as they waited for the man to speak, her first was clenched tightly as she waited.

All she wanted instead of sitting here was to search around for her daughter around the house, she might be here...but just had to retain herself just like John had said.

"Why are you guys looking for my black van? The man asked after they asked him if he own a van.

If he had a van then he must have his daughter. " The van was seen at this location this night" John brought out a picture that captures the van leaving the suspected premises that night"

The man stared for a moment making Rebecca curse inwardly, she was fed up with all this she wanted her daughter and this man was wasting their time.

"Look, my daughter got missing and this car happened to be seen driving out of the premises that same time and we finally traced the owner of the van which turns out to be here". She was trying her best to control her anger and tears.

"What a coincidence! "What do you mean by that? If you're the owner of this van surely there is something you have to tell us or...we finally give you out as a suspect!

Rebecca felt as John touched her lightly on her arm, he was telling her to slow down but all she wanted was her daughter! The man seems just fine as if he wasn't just threatened now.

" I wish I can help you but you see, I'm no longer in possession of this van". "What do you mean by that?

The man clears his throat and whipped his palm slowly on his shorts. "I hate to remember it but my son...well not exactly my biological son, I took him on like one, and after the years of feeding him he decided to steal from me instead of paying back with good coin"

"And you're saying now that the var was one of the things he stole from you? John asked and the man nodded, Rebecca could feel her body trembling.

"And do you know anywhere we can find him? She asked hoping for a better answer, an answer that would lead her to her daughter.

"I'm sorry but I do not know" the man shook his head and she felt her heart collapse a thousand times since she found out that Sunny was missing.

She covered her mouth and forced herself not to break down. "But one thing I know is that Samuel could be a thief but not a kidnapper" "I think that's left for us to find out sir," John said.

"Don't he have a friend, someone he hangs out with surely they knew where he's at?  "I'm sorry, I can't help, Samuel was a very private person let's call it an introvert, he never goes out like other young kids of his own".

" What about his picture, you must have one". "Let me check" he stood up and made his way out of the sitting room, Rebecca had wished that her daughter would be found here but...instead she was disappointed.

Shortly the man emerged holding a picture in his hand when he handed it to her, she saw that the boy could have been just nineteen or twenty...how could a young boy be able to kidnap her daughter without having someone help him and why would he even kidnapped her...

"You can have my number and call me back if you have any new information for us" John handed his business card, she just hoped that they'll be able to find out something soon.

All their way home, she couldn't bring herself to say a word, she was disappointed. She had hoped that her daughter would be found but in the picture, they might find someone who knows where this boy might be.

"I'll be sending someone here to ask around about this place, even though he might be an introvert, he might have one person he communicates with"

She shut her eyes and think it through, there must be one person there that might know where he was and this could finally lead them to her daughter.

She just has to pray and hope, she was scared, and she did not want to think of having the mindset that something bad had happened to her daughter.

She knew if she might not be able to live, she would be devastated and that was the end of it, she had to find her daughter her job as a mother was to keep her daughter safe.

She was going to find her daughter and get revenge on whoever was involved with this!
