Chapter 23

"No!.. I'm not his 'New Fling!'" I say to the Asian guy as I give him a death glare and he smirks I roll my eyes at him and turn to Adrian.

"Adrian.. I'm sorry for slapping you during class. It wasn't intentional it was reflex action" I say some of the girls gasp and his guy friends look at me with a surprised expression.

"Are you done?" He asks. "Yes I am" I say and he returns to discussing with his friends behaving like he didn't care.

The Asian guy and one other guy muffle their laughs and look at him. Scott stares at me with a surprised look. And I start to walk away. "Dude.. did that chick say the truth? She really slapped you?" I over hear the Asian guy ask Adrian. "It's nothing" Adrian says.

"Hey" a voice says from behind me. I turn around to see Scott. "Hi" I reply. "What was that all about?" Scott asked.

So I told him everything that happened during class and he bursts into laughter. I'm taken aback by his reaction. "Why are you laughing?" I ask Scott with a confused expression. "Wow!.. I never knew a day like this would come" Scott replies. "A day like what?" I ask. "Where a girl would be able to stand up to Adrian and put him in his place" Scott says. "Aren't you his friend?" I ask Scott

"I am his friend but I'm not really cool with his behavior towards girls. He treats the girls he comes across like trash" Scott says as we continue to walk to my dorm. "Yeah I noticed" I reply "But you girl are a fire cracker" Scott says with an amused face and I laugh a little as well.

"I'm just feeling bad that I slapped him that way. I should have done something else maybe stepped back a little.." I say. And Scott chuckles "Yeah.. you should have" he says "You really have b I should never try to kiss you without your permission then" Scott teases and I laugh a little.

"Thanks for walking me to my room Scott" I say to Scott. "My pleasure" he says "Bye then" I say "Bye" he says and leaves for his dorm.

"Hey" I say to Ashley as she's sitting at her study table and it seems like she's scribbling or drawing something. "Hey Kell.. what's up?" She asks as she continues to scribble something on her drawing book. "Well.. I'm okay" I say as I drop my books on my bedside table. "What happened?" She asks me turning her full attention to me. I narrate everything that happened with Adrian. "Wait.. you slapped Adrian?!" She asks "Yes... I did. But that was a result of reflex action" I say and she laughs "I really didn't mean to slap him.. he was trying to kiss me and I just had to slap him to stop him from kissing me" I said.

"Wow!.. but why did you react that way? He was trying to act according to the script" Ashley says in Adrian's defence which is partly true but I know that behind that script reading he was just trying to get under my skin. "No he really wasn't acting according to script. He was deliberately trying to piss me off on purpose. Why did he make us volunteer to do the reading? He's so annoying!" I say in angry voice and Ashley chuckles.
