Chapter 50

The next morning Kelly goes to check her report score for the term so far and her face falls as she sees her low performance in her business courses.

"Business administration C- , accounting B-" Kelly says reading her result.

"Ugh!" She says sadly. "Why can't I just get a hang of business. I need to do well with my business courses if I'm going to succeed Dad. Come one Kelly you can't be performing so lowly in business administration and accounting" Kelly says to her self with a pout.

She looks at her art courses and she's actually doing well in them. " Literature A+, Writing A+.." she says to herself as she looks through her art courses.

She looks satisfied to see that she's doing well in her art courses.

"All I need is to step up my game with my business courses and I'm good"

She walks into literature class and sees Adrian sitting by her sit. She ignores him and gets settled as the professor walks into the class and he starts teaching.

She catches Adrian stealing glances at her but she doesn't look at him.

"Okay class.. I'll be pairing you up for a class project" the professor announces and there are some mumblings in the hall.

"I have a list of all of your names and the pairs" he says as he puts up a piece of paper above his head for the class to see.

"Anderson McCall and Tasha Huggins" he says and they both look pleased that they've been paired.

"Scott Sprouse and Audrey Ramos" he says and Scott keeps a stoic expression but Audrey looks happy to be paired with Scott.

He keeps pairing everyone until..

"Kelly Edwards and Adrian Pablo Fernandez" he says and Adrian shoots up his head from his textbook.

Kelly doesn't hear what the professor says at first and then clicks. "Huh?" She says realizing what the professor just said.

"So class I expect you to turn in your projects in three weeks" he says.

"What's the project about?" Audrey asks. "Well.. the project is about Love" he says and everyone looks confused.

"How?" Scott asks "You'll have to write about Love. You can.. write on any kind of love because there are different kinds of love. Just make sure that you can relate the kind of love you write about to realistic events" he explains and some people understand what he's saying but Adrian is still confused.

"I still don't understand" Adrian says to the professor.

"Well.. you can write about what love is to you and give your own opinion on love" he says. "Oh.." Adrian says.

Kelly wonders why the professor is giving this kind of ridiculous project.

"This is for an experiment.. I would like to know the kind of love that is more common or acceptable by people" the professor says.

"What's he talking about?" Kelly asks herself. Professor Briggs can be weird sometimes.

"You can use the experiences of People you know or read about" he says and no one argues or asks anymore questions.

"Okay class that's a wrap" he says and exits the lecture hall.
