Chapter 86

"Are you sure you don't want to go back to your apartment Adrian?" Kelly asks Adrian with a concerned look. "I'm fine Kelly.. I just want to take a walk that's all" Adrian says as Kelly walks beside him "Okay" Kelly says. "You really sacred me today Adrian.. I almost didn't know what to do because I was so confused.." Kelly says

"I'm sorry for scaring you Kelly" Adrian says "It's okay.. I'm just so glad that you're okay now" Kelly says and Adrian takes her hand much to Kelly's surprise

"Thank you again Kelly" he says to her ans Kelly is really moved by his action.

Kelly's Pov

I love this side of Adrian so very much and I really think he's changing. I mean people can change right? Or maybe this is the real him maybe he just decides to put up a mean facade in front of people but deep down he's kind hearted and considerate.

Adrian's Pov

I never thought Kelly would help the way she did today. Maybe if she wasn't here with me who knows what would have happened? Kelly is nice.

I couldn't think before I took her hand and she looked at me with a surprised expression I just.. couldn't stop myself from holding her hand and she didn't protest she held my hand too as we continue to walk.

"Adrian.. how did it start? I mean the panic attacks and anxiety attacks when did they start? Was it because of your Dad?" Kelly asks Adrian and Adrian grimaces and stops walking.

He leads Kelly to a bench at the side walk of the road and she sits down.

"Yeah.. it did.. after Mom left Dad changed like I told you earlier and sometimes he'll lock me up in the kitchen or the basement without light and naturally I hate darkness" Adrian says and Kelly nods in realization

"Was that what happened to you the second time I came to your apartment to work on the project?" Kelly asks

"Yes..  and I never turn off my room light unless someone turns it off for me while I'm asleep and if I happen to wake up in the middle of the night and realize my light is off I would freak out and turn it back on because I hate darkness" he says tensing up a bit

Kelly places her hand on his hand and sooths it he looks at her and Kelly can't figure out what that look says but he quickly looks away not removing his hand from hers.

An ice cream truck passes by and Kelly springs to her feet startling Adrian a little. "Ice cream!" She says in an esctatic voice and Adrian can't help but chuckle.

"What's your favorite flavour?" She asks him "Vanilla" he says and she rushes to get ice cream

She returns with two ice cream cones she hands Adrian the vanilla ice cream and she eats from the chocolate ice cream. "I love chocolates so much" she says happily and Adrian smiles.

Later at night

Adrian pulls up in front of the hostel buildings Kelly tries to get out of the car but he holds her back "Thank you Kelly" he says with a soft gaze

"You're welcome Adrian" Kelly says and she leaves the car she turns around again and waves at him with a smile and he finds himself waving back to her with a smile as well
