Take care!!” my mom shouted as she revved the car.
Before she drove out the school gate, she shouted," love you!!”
“Love you too” I mouthed as I looked around, luckily for me, there wasn't a student insight.
The school compound is total deserted, this is like a start of a crappy horror movie. The building is an old museum-like building with shutters, the colour a faded blue, the flag on it looks old and worn, I wouldn't doubt it if you tell me this building was around during the first world war and since then, the flag hasn't been changed.
“I see you are new here,” a soft voice said.
I was startled at the alien sound. My heart beating miles a minute.
The voice chuckled, “no need to be afraid. I don't bite unless you ask me to.”
I turned towards the intruder, and Oh my juggles, a little gasp left me.
What's up with this town and their handsomeness?
First, it's the triplets and now this one.
His long red hair was tied up in a bun, his green eyes twinkles as if in amusement and his abs, sweet don't get me started on it.
Overall, he looks okay, but he's not like my triplets.
My throat has mysteriously become dry as I looked at the handsome specie in front of me.
“Can I be of help to you?” he asks, maybe wondering why I haven't said a word.
“No. I mean yes. I won't mind if you show me to the principal's office.”
I gave him my killer smile (my mom's words, not mine)
“Sure, if you will just follow me” he started walking into the school, and I followed close behind.
Wouldn't want to get lost on my first day here.
"His office is right there,” he pointed at a door three steps away.
“Thanks for your help”, I smiled at the handsome student who helped me out.
He nodded and turned to leave. Probably back to where he came from.
“Wait.” I held him on his elbow, but he smacked my hands away and turned towards me with an alarmed expression,
He looked like a person afraid of death. “What's it?” He frowned at me.
Despite his frown, he looked dope. His handsome face was still the same.
“Am sorry I didn't get your name,” I smiled. Hoping that will make him friendly enough to tell me his name.
Calling him the handsome dude in my head might be okay, but I can't forever call him that.
At least not when I have far more handsome triplets.
He looked at me, signed and continued on his merry way without a backward glance.
Well, that goes for my social skills.
“ They will love you” mom had said.
I scoffed at the memory. Love indeed.
He must have been tasked with showing the new boy to the principal's office, which explains his eagerness to be rid of me.
Not to forget his anger when I touched him.

The hall was filled with students chatting with friends.
I had almost thought this was a ghost school when I didn't see any students outside.
Seeing students here made me take back those thoughts.
The moment I entered the halls, the noisy hall grew silent as a graveyard. You can hear a pin drop.
Their stares bore on me as I hurried to the locker rooms.
Their stares are more than creepy, it's bothersome and predatory.
I've been to numerous schools, and I know how newbies are treated. Especially on their first day of school.
I put the books am not going to make use of today in the locker. My mind trying to think of a way I can be able to go back through the halls.
But,
The bell saved me from going through the same welcoming stares I got earlier.
I hurried to the first class on my schedule being Literature, and luckily for me, the teacher was not yet in class when I entered.
The looks started again as I made for a chair in the middle because I hate sitting either at the front or back.
At least three students were sitting near the seat I chose, but as soon as I sat down they all vacated the chairs around me as if am some sort of a plague.
You see why I hate new schools, every school have their own strange behavior, but this school went up a notch in their strangeness.
What with the staring and avoiding me like a plague.
I shrugged.
They can add odd for all I care.
“Sorry am late” a pretty woman apologized as she ran inside adjusting her clothes.
The students gave each other knowing looks as they smiled as if sharing a secret joke, which I wouldn't have minded joining in.
But I highly doubt I will be a partaker of such things. After all, I'm the newbie.
The atmosphere became tense as the door opened and in walked my _no_ the triplets with a lazy smirk on their faces.
The smirk disappeared and a look of surprise passed their faces before they masked it as they locked eyes with Me. I didn't back down from the challenge in their gaze as I looked them head on.
I won't be the first to look down.
“It's nice of you to join us, please take a seat” they took their eyes off me to glare at the teacher before they grudgingly walked towards me and took a seat, with Damien at my back, Daniel at my right side and Donald at my left.
“Since you've all taken a seat, let's start”
Lady Becky as she introduced herself as droned on and on about the legend of Lycaon.
I couldn't concentrate with the nearness of these three Greek gods, whose handsomeness supersedes any I've seen.
They paid me no attention, but I swear I can feel their eyes on me even if they are focused on the teacher.
“Lycaon, in Greek mythology, a legendary king of Arcadia. Traditionally, he was an impious and cruel king who tried to trick Zeus, the king of the gods, into eating human flesh”
Blah, blah, blah, in my former school we've started reading Dracula before I was whisked to this Godforsaken town in the middle of nowhere, it wasn't in the map when I tried to look it up.
If we get murdered here, no one will notice our disappearance, talk more of searching for us.
“I will be expecting the assignments on Monday” the teacher said as she took up her books.
Wait a minute, assignment??? I looked at the blank white board.
“Please ma, what assignment??”
“I said it just five minutes ago_” she blanched, “oh my god, I didn't say it out loud, did I?” She asked me.
I shook my head. What did she mean by saying it out loud?
“Sorry dear, we've not had a hu_ new student in like forever, my apologies, don't worry the alp_ triplets will help you with it.”
“Yeah, that helps, a lot,” I said sarcastically.
If she heard it, she didn't comment as she walked out of the class, leaving me in the near-empty class with the dashing triplets.
I blushed at our proximity, Daniel was almost too close to kissing.
I felt sweaty all of a sudden.
“So… Am Donald and you are? “ The sweet darling brought his hands out for a shake, but I ignored him, concentrating instead on zipping up my backpack.
“ Name's Miguel.” I looked up to him "but am sorry, I don't have the time for socializing, am almost late for my chemistry class.”
I ran out of the class like all the devil was hot on my heels, which might be true if the devil looks as hot as those guys.
My panties would have melted if I were to be a girl, but in my case, it's my boxers melting.
Running, I wasn't paying any attention to my location until I bumped into someone.
“Watch where you are going,” a girl growled at me,
“sorry? Is that what you want to hear? If it is, I'm sorry to disappoint you. I was at fault the same as you are, we both bumped into each other, and if you were watching where you were heading, you wouldn't have bumped into me instead you would have avoided the collision.
Which reminds me, I should try class now, not frolicking with a snappy b,” I snapped at her. Taking out my frustrations on the poor girl.
The girl looked up at me in surprise, clearly not used to being put in her place, “sorry about that, I wasn't in my best of mind” she apologized.
“I see, if you don't mind, I have a class to attend” I tried to walk past her, but she held me in a tight grip.
“Sorry about my earlier words, am Bianca by the way” she brought out her hand for a shake.
I shook her outstretched hands “am Miguel, nice to meet you,” I genuinely smiled at her.
“The pleasure is all mine,” she smiled, and the sight reminded me of my mom.
She paused as if in contemplation
“Sorry, gotta go, see you around!!” she zoomed off.
Smiling, I walked toward my chemistry class.
“You are late,” the teacher admonished me.
“I had a_" I started to say, but she cut me off.
“I don't need excuses, just don't repeat it next time, I will overlook it this once as it's your first day, but I won't be lenient next time. Now join a group,” she turned back towards the board.
Looking around, I can deduce the class is grouped four at a table.
Daniel was at a table at the far corner of the room with the same boy that helped me and ignored me when I was trying to be friendly, and another handsome brunette. Figured the most handsome ones stick together.
I walked towards a table of three, a boy in a red jacket stood out, with his out worldly golden hair and hetero chromatic blue and green eyes.
He smiled as I approached their table
“Can I join you?” I asked with a smile.
“With all pleasure,” he replied.
As suddenly as the smile appeared, it disappeared from his face “am sorry, you can't join us, we are already complete” as he said it a girl from another table joined theirs.
What's this?
How did he change from welcoming me to claiming their table is already full?
I looked up at the handsome boy, but his eyes were focused on something at my back, but when I turned I didn't see anything out of the ordinary.
“Mr., find a table already and sit your butt down,” the teacher commanded.
I walked towards the only table that isn't miraculously complete and took a seat near the brunette guy.
I smiled at him, but he didn't return the favour, instead, he looked at Daniel in alarm.
Daniel, on the other hand, didn't acknowledge my presence, instead, he was focused on what the teacher was writing on the board, he must be angry I left earlier.

The class was as boring as a potato and also weird as hell, I was delighted when the lecture ended.
Most of the time the teacher zoomed off as if in Lala land and when she comes back to the present she acts as if she is answering a question, which mind you I didn't hear, but the students looked on with rapt attention, for instance.
“If you were on an emergency trip and your gas got exhausted, you have no extra diesel and the only thing you have is alcohol, thankfully you have a purifier and a balloon what will you do, provided….”
The class goes silent, although she has stopped talking, she hasn't stopped pacing as she was when she was talking, a few minutes later.
“No dear, mind you, you have no way of getting fuel as you passed the last gas station three hours ago, and it will likely take you five to six hours to walk there on foot and another six to get back, don't forget, it's a state of emergency.”
After those words, she remained silent until I heard them.
“And you Miguel, what you will say concerning what Matilda suggested?”
I looked at her like she was crazy “I don't understand ma, who's Matilda, and when did she talk? if am not mistaken these classes have been as silent as a graveyard minutes earlier”
Did Matilda by chance talk to her during her daydream?
A knowing look passed her face as she murmured “never mind, no one spoke, it was just in my head”
The students laughed at that as if they all shared a secret I wasn't a part of.
She resumed the class, and this time she didn't get lost in her head.
*
I packed my backpack as the students left the class one after the other, but Daniel stayed back as the others left.
“What are you still doing here?” I snapped at him. This has gotten weirder. He didn't reply, instead, he took his book _which happens to be the only thing he brought to class _ and left the class, with me standing mouth agape.
well, that went well.

“Hi,” heterochromatic eyes smiled as I walked towards my next class which happened to be advanced calculus _ don't judge, am just an overachiever nerd who happens to love math.
"Hi" I smiled back.
“Am Solomon by the way”
“Miguel, nice to meet you,” I shook his outstretched palm.
I didn't bother asking him about the scene back in class. I'm here to make friends, not enemies. Especially not on my first day.
“What do you think you are doing?!!!” a very familiar voice growled.
I turned to face a not too smiling Donald.
Solomon smirked as he looked on with a bored expression
“What do you think I am doing?” He looked smug.
I grimaced as I felt rather than saw Donald punch Solomon, he fell to the floor, that lazy smirk is still prominent on his face.
“Do you have a death wish?” I reprimanded him as I helped him up. The stupid guy's smirk turned into a full toothed grin as he touched my shoulders.
“Jesus!!” I shouted as the calm, reasonable Donald punched him again.
“Think well mutt before touching him again!” he growled as he went in for the kill, but I blocked his path with my palm splayed on his chest.
I didn't have the time to admire his broad chest, as I was too focused on preventing him from pummeling poor stupid Solomon again.
Solomon has a death wish.
“What in heaven is going on here?” Lady Becky questioned as she took on the scene. She blinked twice.
“Young man to the principal's office now,” she told Solomon" and you all should go back to your classes," she stomped off while I was trying to get her attention. She doesn't need to punish Solomon, Donald also is a culprit.
“It's better if we head to class, she doesn't like to be told what to do,” Donald said as he walked towards the class I was heading to before the incident.
