Donald's Pov

"There's nothing there,"  he checked the time for the umpteenth time since we started our conversation.

"Have a place you have to be?" I kept my tune neutral and conversationally.

I don't want him suspicious of anything.

A slight mistake can thwart our laid out plans, a slip of the word is enough to make us lose our mate forever. 

"Yeah, I have something to resolve in my pack, it needs immediate attention. My Beta said it's beyond him," he chuckled.

" I will see you in the next Alphas' meeting no?"

I shook my head smiling

" I will be there"

but will you be?

you won't live to see the sun rise tomorrow if it turns out you were the one that kidnapped our mate.

 He left in a hurry "I need to go now,"  he waved at me and i waved back, mirroring his gesture.

 "What do you say, we go after him?" Daniel asked as the both walked to where I was standing.

I gave him a dirty loo, "and spoil our plans?"

I shook my head "you know how potent our scent is, he will realize we're following him, and if he does that,  our chances of finding our mate will be really slim.

Let's wait for the right opportunity to strike," I  gave him a pat on the back "he's  my mate the same way he's yours. Let's not dive into this like that, we might foil our plans right before we execute it."

Damien smiled " let's do it your way Donald,"  he looked at Daniel "what  he said makes a lot of sense, we might make him (Alpha Dess) suspicious of our agenda if we start following him this instant," he looked around to check if there was any eavesdropper around, when he found none, he continued .

"we can enter his pack the same way he got our mate kidnapped. We need the elements if surprise, without that we might not find our mate, they will likely dispose his body or if they really need him, they will hide him at a place we won't be able to find him."

I nodded " now you're taking like how a human is supposed to talk like.," I smiled with pride.

He smirked " brother don't get that pride into your head, am just momentarily wise. It's not an everlasting one like yours, I get wise when duty calls for danger," he fist pumped with Daniel.

Those conniving fuckers, wait till we find our mate that's when they will know what they did to themselves.

"You and Daniel will leave the Brain works to me?"

they nodded with a vigor that would have earned them a gold medal in a head nodding competition.

"Alpha his mom is getting really restless, she's trying to call the cops again.

The time you gave her have elapsed." Bianca said through the mind link.

I keep my mind link open for communication do  that anyone who wants to communicate with me can do that without any complications.

"Are you with your phone?" I asked.

"Yes Alpha," she replied.

I cut the connection.

My brothers looked worried, the time frame we gave her have expired, that must be why she's getting restless again.

I dialed her line, she picked it up on the second ring.

"give her the phone,"

I let some Alpha command deep in although it was unnecessary, Bianca won't defy the orders of her Alpha.

"Hello madam,"my  voice was all professional, I cant wait for the day I will start calling her mother.

"Where is my son?"that was the first thing she asked.

I don't blame her, a mother's worries are towards her children. She must be sick with worry over the whereabouts of her lovely son.

"He's with me,"I  lied through my teeth.

I can't help what I did, to me it seems like the only reasonable thing to say as of now.

My brothers's heads turned towards me with a speed that made me think their necks will be broken.

I gave them a look, am doing this for all of us.

If she decides to take him away from us, who are we to stop her?

Our future with our mate lies in her hands, our relationship wouldn't be productive without her blessings.

I can hear the screeching of a chair on the background. "you've found my son?

Where's he?

give the phone to him let me talk with him."

I can feel her joy from here I am, talk more of being in the same room as she is.

"An afraid that wouldn't be possible."

I heard her sigh in frustration, I have to do this if not, we're toast.

"He was giving a sleeping pill, when he wakes up and gives his statement, we will return him safely and back to you. You don't have to worry, he's in safe hands." I can only hope that's the truth.

" Where is he? tell me. I will be there this instant. I  can't wait for tomorrow, tomorrow is still far,"  she pleaded.

I exhaled, counting up to five " before he gets to receive visitors, he must be awake and his statement collected. Seeing you there might make him skip important informations, we won't want that." I scratched my hair ( a nervous behavior)

"I promise you will see your beloved son tomorrow ma, try to have a good evening,"  I cut the call before she starts to thank me.

I've not done anything to merit her thanks.

I will gladly wait for it when I have her son right on my arms, then and only then will I accept get thanks.

"I don't know you're a good liar,"  Damien smiled, albeit tiredly, we've not had any rest since our mate was kidnapped.

For us resting isn't a priority until we find our mate.

" I do what I can when it's needed,"I  shrugged.

If a it takes for Miguel to return is my lies, then I will gladly take the throne from the devil.

" Let's go, we've wasted enough time," Daniel walked towards our car "let  the game begin."
