Miguel's pov
I stifled a laugh at his words.
I Miguel, a well behaved student?
The sun must be blue in colour.
"What's wrong?" Damien asked.
The concern he feels evident on his face.
"why are your cheeks red?"
I fought the urge to roll my eyes.
does he mean he haven't seen a person blush before?
"We will start from where we stopped yesterday." The teacher turns towards the board.
After the first two days I spent in school, the teachers have stopped behaving oddly.
I can still recall having four classes with the teachers only talking half of the time, and the other half spent standing without their mouth moving.
The students didn't help matters as they tend to write even when not given any instructions.
"Today we will resume our two days survival topic; surviving in the forest," he writes it down on the board.
" This topic will teach you the best ways to survive and stay safe in case you're stranded in a forest with nothing on you," he delves into the act of finding food, starting fire, and evading the dangers of the night.
I sat still through the entire lesson without giving in to the urge to sleep. The lesson is as boring as hell, so boring I will prefer sweeping the entire school to sitting here listening to ways to survive and things to avoid while in the forest.
Which school teaches such odd subjects?
the school have more than five strange subjects. The likes of Forest Survival, Forest scout, Battle plans and formation ( yeah you heard that right. In that class, we learn how to plan Battle strategies and war formation).
"For your assignments today, you're to list three ways to evade a predator, start a fire and a safe place to rest , while stranded in a desert."
How can all he listed be possible in a desert?
And that my dear friends is the reason I told you this school is as strange as the people in it.
The students themselves doesn't make it all the well better, the way they behave most times makes it all the more suspicious.
"What are you thinking that got you this hyped up?" Damien leaned closer to whisper.
Am thinking on how strange everyone in this town acts.
"it's nothing worth talking about,"I shrugged.
He looks like he doesn't believe me a bit, but have nothing to say to that.

"Are you coming with us to the cafeteria?" Daniel asked as I packed my books after the fourth class we've had today.
I shook my head "I want to go to the bathroom. You three can go without me, I will find you when am through with my business."
" We can escort you is you want," Donald said as he took my backpack " you can't be sure it's safe to walk alone."
I roll my eyes at their stupid worries self " it's just the bathroom, there's nothing hiding there." I smile to reassure the worry warts am okay.
They must be feeling guilty for what happened to me three days ago.
"Are you sure you will be okay? we can escort you if you want," Damien said.
They're acting as if there's a Dess hiding in the bathroom somewhere.
" I will be fine, just stop worrying unnecessarily. The more time you waste in trying to make me agree for our three to escort me, the more time we waste."
I walked out of the class still feeling their eyes on me. I guess they don't want a repeat of last time.
A time I wouldn't relive.

Thankfully the bathroom was Empty, all thanks to the cafeteria break.
I did my business, washed my hands and left the bathroom.
The trips will be hell bent worried about me if I waste any more time on this.
" Miguel it's been long. how're you?"
I turned to see a smiling Solomon walking towards me.
"you've not been in school for like four days now, what's the problem?" he looks genuinely concerned to the extent I felt like telling him what he asked of, but at the last minute I decided not to tell him.
"I was sick then, but now am okay." I pray the Lord doesn't make me really sick to cover up the sick lies.
"Oh" he smiles "Am really and totally sorry I didn't visit you when you were sick, but credit can be given to me since you never told me you were sick, neither do I know where you live," his blue green eyes sparkled.
" It's okay, I bear no grudge against you," I genuinely smiled.
It's not like anyone else knew of my kidnap except for the trips, my family and Bianca.
" Thanks I appreciate." He frowns a little " now I remember, there's something I want you to help me fix.
I would have asked for help from others until I saw you, and thought you the best candidate for the job."
"Am afraid I can't help you Solomon, the trips are waiting for me, and a little more extra time will make them angry at me," I can't afford to make them as worries as they were when I was kidnapped.
"It won't take long Miguel, the task I want you to do isn't all that difficult, and it won't take much of your time," he pleads.
As much a I would have like to wipe that look off his face, I can't because I don't want the trips to be worried.
"I can't afford to waste any more time than I already have, the trips will be worried if I stay more than the time they're expecting me to arrive," I can't help him at the expense of the trips being angry.
"Please Miguel, I need to complete the task today if not am toast. Pretty please with a cherry on top, help me complete the task. " He pleads, his eyes getting really misty.
I sighed in surrender " okay I will help you." I said resignedly. This guy sure have a way with making people do his biddings.
He only have to blink his eyes.
"Right this way," he stood to let me walk in before him.
I entered a classroom before him.
A hit on the head had me falling into the dark bottomless void.
