Miguel's pov
"I wasn't the one who killed him Solomon. I tried to get him to abandon me, but he refused. He fought for me even to his last breathe." My tears were now flowing like a river but I don't care. Not when Mond is no more.
My dam of tears is broken, and my tears are flowing freely.
"You were the reason for his death Miguel; you asked him to protect you, and he did what you ask," he laughed humorlessly " he was always a man of honor."
A man of honor he is.
" That isn't my true, I didn't ask him to protect me, he took it up on his own."
I can't believe he's accusing me of telling the only true friend I had to die for my sake.
"That's what happened, you" he points at me "asked my brother to fight for you, and he did, even in his death." he narrows his eyes angrily at me.
"Solomon that's not true. I gave your brother an out when my kidnappers asked him to let me go, but he refused to let me go," I sobbed loudly "even in death, he refused to let me go. "
Mond was really determined to fight for my freedom, and he did so.
Solomon broke out in a loud sob, his tears making him let go of his rod as he made to clean his face.
"That wasn't what I was told.
I was told you asked him not to ever let you go," he sobbed.
"Whoever told you that doesn't want you to find out the truth. Please Solomon you've got to believe me when I say I have no hand in his untimely demise."
My words made him look up, as if remembering something important, he stood up.
Walking towards me like a predator does its prey before the final kill, he raised his club up high.
"My brother is no more because of you. It's ideal you go and join him wherever he might be," he made to bring the rod down on me.
"Please Solomon you can't do that" I begged the bereaved male "taking my life now won't bring your brother back to you. It will rather laden you with guilt."
If only he will listen to the voice of reasoning.
Am not faulting him in seeking out justice for the death of both his brother and lover.
I would have done the same if someone had a hand( no matter how small and insignificant it might be) in the death of the triplets.
"Living with the guilt is far more better than living with the pain of seeing your smiling face every day. You don't deserve to live while he's dead," he walks back to the chair, and droppe down on it ( that's the one opposite me) " he didn't deserve to die,"he muttered.
I sat as quitely as I can without making any noise.
it seems my voice is the trigger for the revenge madness in him.
" He loves me, and I left him there alone. He was all I had yet I abandoned him at a place he told me he hates living in. He was always there for me yet I left him in his moment of desperation. He fought for us while I tried to break us apart," he continues sobbing, this time the sound was too loud for me to hear my own words.
The male's shoulders were hunched in pain, the tears enough to fill a bucket if stored; his grief visible on his face.
I mistakenly hit my foot on one of the rod lying close by, and that sound alone was enough to wake up the sobbing beast in Solomon.
"A person that deserves to die is still alive while the one who deserves to live is no more" he took up the rod he dropped when his uncontrollable sobbing began.
"I liked you Miguel, but you don't deserve to live after what you've done," he smiled sadly "I can't bear watching you with the Triplets while my own mate is no more. I just can't bear the pain Miguel. I can't bear it any longer."
He took the rod, trailing it as he walks towards me " greet my brother and mate for me when you reach the other side Miguel. May the goddess see you safely to him," he lifts the rod up.
Closing my eyes out if instinct, I prepared for my death " I will really miss you three," I whisper, hoping the wind will carry my words back to the three most handsome males I've ever seen.
The clattering of the rod made me open my eyes in surprise.
"I can't do this," he mutters as he takes some steps back "I can't bear to do this."
Solomon looked at me with eyes filled with regret "I would have loved to see you dead, but I can't bring myself to actually hurt you" he plastered himself to the wall.
My mind was still trapped in history, still on the part where he raised the rod on me.
He shakes his head "I just can't..."
The door opened, making whatever he wants to say forever lost in history ( I don't think he will say those words, neither will he remember them again).
Three frantic looking males ran in at the same time, a single look at my restraints made them howl in anger.
Without any word, Daniel and Donald rushed towards me, while Damien took Solomon up his sleeves "you dare touch our mate?" he bellows.
The sounds enough to make a full grown man piss in his pants.
"Please don't hurt him," I said from where I am, with Daniel and Donald trying to free me from my restraints.
One that seems stronger than it looked.
Looking at it, one will wonder how possible it is only Solomon got to tie something as strong as this.
Something that's taking the triplets time to untie.
Solomon didn't talk, but he had an evil amused look on his face; a look that's infuriating the triplets, if their growl is any indication.
"Why should you say that?" the look they gave me was one a person will give to an insane person "did you hit you head somewhere?" Daniel asked as he checked to see if I actually did hit my head on anything.
"Am okay"
