Chapter 98

Miguel's pov

"You can remove your hand from your face, they've ran away,"  I heard Bianca's voice.

Slowly removing a finger at a time, I discreetly looked, and sure, there are no males around.

"What happened to them?"

"I happened to them," she shrugs before walking away.

"Wait!" I sprang up to my feet "the Alphas. where can I find them?"

she's the only one who can tell me where you find them.

"Why should I tell you?" she narrows a glare at me "you will end up breaking their already broken heart,"  she says before turning to resume her walk.

"Please, I need to sort things out with them, where can I find them?" I sniff.

" Even if I know, I won't tell you," 

" please Bianca, please I need to know. I can't allow this last the night, please I need to solve this."

" You wouldn't have agreed to meet Manuel is you really wanted to make peace with the Alphas.

You would have heeded my warnings, and told the Alphas where you went that night, instead you thought to lie about it," she gives me an accusing look " you won't have been in this problem if not for your foolishness."

I stood there and took her insults without a word of protest.

I really and truly deserve those words.

Am a fool for not heeding her warnings; a fool for always falling for Manuel's sad tricks.

"Manuel was quite insistent," I  said after a moment,

"would he have forced you Out of your house if you said no?" she raises a doubtful brow.

"He wouldn't have, but the tone he made use of caused me to agree to go out with him"

She sighs " this was his way with Favour Also." 

" Who's Favour? and what relationship does she have with this?" I look at her in confusion.

She looks up to the sky before she looked back at me "you will do well to sit for this," she takes a seat on a falling tree trunk, and I took one opposite her.

"Long before you came here, the Alphas has a girl they were to marry..."

" they have a girlfriend?" i felt a searing pain Slice through my heart at that realization.

" They had, you will do well to know the difference," she glares at me.

Unable to help myself, I smiled when I heard her words. 

Am not willing to share my loves with anyone, be it a male or a female.

"They don't love her like they do you, but they adore her. She was their childhood best friend, and when they were unable to find a mate, they decided to marry her and continue their blood line."

I felt guilty when I heard that; am dashing their hope of having a pulp just because I happen to be their mate.

" She loved them more than they will ever do her, but she didn't care, as long as she have them with her in their life, she's more than satisfied. "

"What happened to her?"

i need to know where the person am competing with is; that way i will know how best to make sure she doesn't come on contact with my loves.

" Manuel happened" she sighs " he came on to her. Acting like he loved her, taking her to secret places, trying to steal kisses from her, and when she tells him of her feelings for the Alphas, he kissed her in the presence of the Alphas."

" That's exactly what he did to me," 

I gasped " why is he doing such things? is he somehow competing with them?"

She shrugs "  no one knows of his reasons for doing the things he do. Favour went missing a week after the kissing incident, and her body was found floating on the river the week of her disappearance."

" Jesus! " I clutched my heart in fear " what happened to her? "

" We don't know, but I think she drowned herself because the Alphas publicly denounced their union. Manuel disappeared that week, only to return now. The Alphas are hurt because history seems to be repeating itself." 

" What did the Alphas do to him when they found out?"

I won't allow someone who did something like that to roam my park.

"They couldn't do anything to him even if they want to murder him repeatedly, and they can't ask us to do it." 

" Why is that?"

" Their uncle's last wish was for them to live in unity; fighting amongst them will disrupt the peace the Alphas are trying to keep."

" You should have told me this on his first day here, if you've done that, I wouldn't be in this predicament now." I give her an accusing stare.

I would have at least known to steer clear of him if she had told me to do so.

Nothing of this sort would have happened had she told me all this. I won't, not at all. 

" I thought my warnings will be enough for you to steer clear of him, seems I should have tried more."

" Where are the Alphas? I need to meet them now"

I  stand with a new determination in me.

"Am afraid I can't tell you that no matter how much I want to do so. It's an order from the Alphas, and I can't go against their orders."

At her words, something clicked in my brain " the Luna is the authority greater than the Alpha. A Luna's word is far more sacred than that of an Alpha."

i stand to my full height "as  the Luna of the Haji park, I command you to take me to see my Alphas." I say with all seriousness.

" Are you telling me that as Miguel or as my Luna?" she asked. An indescribable look in her face.

I swallow "am ordering you as your Luna, take me to my Alphas." 

I know I will regret making use of my authority against her, but I don't care for now, so far as she takes me to my Alphas.

"Yes Luna,"  she bows respectively to me "I will take you to meet your Alphas, but don't regret it,"  she says before walking towards the place she came from "let's go."
