Chapter 146

Miguel's pov

"You're talking like that, wait till I get you alone," Solomon threatened him.

"I will love it of you do so," Mond winked at Solomon " you know I really love when you do so. "

They shared a heated look. One that's only understood by the couples in love.

" Guys, " I playfully glare at them " can you tune it down a bit? someone single is right here, " I point to myself.

" Oops, sorry about that."

Mond looks far from sorry as his eyes trailed Solomon's body.

"I will like to check these out," the suspicious male smiled as he dropped the books he got today on the table.

"I will check it up," I forced a smile despite how tired I feel.

Trying against all my will not to yawn in tiredness.

" I can take it up from here if you want," Mond looks at me in concern "you look like you need your rest."

"Thank you," I smiled at him before passing the books over to him.

For days now, I've been feeling more tired than I have ever been.

Tired beyond reasoning.

"I will help you out with it. My colleague looks like he needs to rest," Mond smiled at the male who didn't return his smile.

Instead he looked at me in concern "are you okay?"

" yes. Nothing a little rest can't cure," I smile at him in reassurance.

" Oh. okay," he looked at me for a long time before turning towards Mond. Gone is the normal smile he flashes my way, and in its place is a glare he levels on Mond.

"Here you go," Mond placed the book in front of him.

" Thanks, " he says before Leaving.

" What's wrong with him?" Mond looked at the male who just left " his smile just vanished when I asked to help you out. He must indeed really hate me for him to frown as easily as he did just now."

Mond shivers.

" I don't know," I shrug " he's always smiling whenever he comes in here. I guess he's not in a good mood today."

That will prove his frown.

The rest of the day went by smoothly until the frowning male walked back in. This time he have with him something which he kept in front of me.

" It will help with your tiredness," he says before briskly leaving. The same way he came in.

"Someone's got admirer, " Mond winked at me "what did he give you?" he rushed over to where am currently sitting.

"Shut up," I glare at him "he's just checking up on me since am the one who always attends to him whenever he comes here. He must have felt it's his duty to ensure am perfectly fine."

I took the bag from Mond, and opened it.

In it are chocolate candies, biscuits and a energy drink.

I felt touched knowing someone thought of me to the extent of buying something for me.

"Hmmmm," Mond raised a brow "you really did have an admirer," he wiggles his brow.

" You're always talking, " I glare at him.

I gave him the entire things there " am not permitted to eat anything in there. Mother will have my head if I do so."

I said in answer to to his raised brows.

" Don't think to take this from me," he hides the entire things in the bag on his back.

" I won't," I smile at him.

Mond is always one to claim ownership of things. Especially when he's given something. He's quite possessive of his things.

"This guy must have liked you a lot for him to go to all that trouble to buy things for you. He must have gone to the town next here to get this things for you," Mond took a bite from the biscuits "hmmmm," he moaned in appreciation.

"Don't let Solomon hear you moaning. He might get jealous of the biscuits."

Mond smiles " he's super possessive and jealous. You're the only male he allows close to me."

" Probably because am pregnant. Had I not being pregnant I don't think he would have allowed you anywhere near me."

Most times he raises a brow at our shared close proximity.

I left for work earlier than the time I normally leave on ordinary days.

"I guess we will be waiting for the good news?" Mond smiled at me.

" Let's hope so." I wave at them.

" I hope she looks like me," Solomon smiled.

I left the happy couples and slowly walked back to the house I share with mother.

At the rate my pregnancy is taking me, I don't think I will be able to walk down this stairs tomorrow.

*

In front of our door is the now familiar type of box we always see every two weeks.

Each week the things in the box changes.

Last time it came, it was filled with clothes for mother and I. My baby's own wasn't there, but there were toys for her in there.

I look at the box in question before I sidestepped it. My pregnant self can't be bothered to carry something as heavy as the box. I will leave it all to mother.

Mother knows how best to keep the box and arrange the things in it.

Our house that was scanty before is now filled with things. Ranging from plastic flowers and home appliances.

My closet that once have few clothings in it is now over run with clothes to the extent I won't even know something is missing in it if someone takes something from it.

I unlock the door, and entered inside.

"Home sweet home," I sighed in bliss.

Walking into the kitchen, I took out an ice cream and proceeded to lick the delicious strawberry stuff.

Mother might have warned me about taking all this sweet things but my baby just doesn't listen. Right now she's hungry for some ice cream, and I will be a bad father if I don't give her what she wants to avoid her tantrums.
