Chapter 152

Miguel's pov

"So?" he raises a brow "where is your kid?" he looked around town check to see my kids or kid as he called it.

"Kid? I thought you have a sixth sense of some sort?" i raised a brow at him.

He smiled "well forgive me. Where are your babies?" he asked with a smile.

"They're currently with their uncles who've taken custody of them."

The male laughed " am sure the one to stage the coup is the always smiling one. That's not something the other one will do. "

I nod in agreement.

These male seems to know all about Mond without being close to him.

" Mond is more the one who claimed Nabel as his own. "

He even talked of her coming over to their house every Christmas, Easter, New year and summer break.

In order words, he wants my daughter's free holiday time to be spent with him.

"Am Aiden. It's really nice knowing you," he smiled at me.

" Aiden. What a nice name for a nice man," I shook his outstretched hand.

" Nice? am only nice and not handsome?" he raised a brow.

Well.

He might be handsome, but my mates are far more handsome than he is and will ever be.

"You came to buy or check out?" I don't want to thread on murky surface.

"None of the above. I came to see you Miguel."

"Am happy to hear that," I smiled at him.

He looked at the door and back at me before making the decision "are you free this evening?"

He looked at everyplace but at me.

At his question, my alert signal started going off.

Why will a stranger like him ask of am free this evening?

As bulky as he is, am afraid he will over power me of it turns out to be a trap of some kind.

My run-ins with Manuel have taught me not to trust a stranger no matter how harmless they might look.

The harmless looking ones always turns out to be the worst of all.

"Am afraid not. Its my turn to cook tonight. I don't want to keep mother waiting."

No need telling him I can't cook to safe my life.

Having a mother who can cook might have been the reason for my lack of skills in the kitchen.

His smiling face dulled at my words "it's okay. We can still meet tomorrow," he looks hopeful at that.

"Sorry to dash your expectations, I won't be opportuned tomorrow. I have babies to attend to, I don't wave much time on me."

Telling him all this now is far more better than making empty promises.

I can't allow another person suffer through the hurt I felt when my mates broke up with me at the worst of time.

His face looked totally downcast "okay. Sorry to bother you Miguel," he walked out of the shop. How shoulders hunched like that of a person with the entire weight of the world on his shoulders.

"Damn Miguel, you're totally a heartbreaker," Mond walked out from the room, Nabel in his arms.

"What do you mean by your words?" I raised a brow at him in question.

" Can't you see how dejected he looked when you didn't accept his saying request? " Mond sat next to me, carefully placing a smiling Nabel on his laps.

"Princess," I lightly pinched her cheeks.

"Stop that!" Mond swatted my hand off her cheeks "are you trying to mar her beautiful features?" he raised a questioning brow up at me.

I playfully glare at him "you're getting really overprotective of my daughter. Looking at us now, one will think you're the daddy."

" Of course am the Daddy. Who will it be of not me?" he raised a brow in question.

"Lijah will be quite a heavy headed as the fathers. He's getting really difficult to tame at this young age.

Solomon frowned at the sleeping boy in his arms.

"What did he do this time around?" I raised a brow at the always complaining uncle.

"He slept off during class," Solomon frowned down at him "at such a young age he's starting to exhibit laziness."

I resisted the urge to roll my eyes at him.

" What were you teaching him dear uncle?" I kept my face devoid of the smile fighting so hard to break out.

"I was teaching him how to best take care of his hygiene!"

Mond was the first to erupt in laughter, and I followed suit.

"You are teaching a three weeks old baby how to best take care of his health? I never knew you madness have gone deeper than I thought.."

Mond held tightly to Nabel as he laughed without stopping.

"Laugh all you want," Solomon glared at us in anger "Haven't you read where it was written?" he shushed Lijah when he started to stir "shh baby. Go back to sleep."

"Have you seen what you just caused now? you almost woke him up!" he glared at us in anger.

" I thought you want him awake for your lessons?" Mond raised a brow "why are you asking him to go back to sleep?"

"I don't want a sleepy student. It's better I teach him when he fully awake than now."

"Only you know of such a thing," I stood up from my seat " I will go shelve these books. I leave my babies in your capable hands," I stood up from my chair " Aiden sure know how to check books out."

I have not doubt all the books on the table are his. He's the only one who checks books out and in. Others buy.

" Aiden? who's Aiden? " Solomon raised his brow at me.

" The red haired guy who frequents here like one does a coffee shop."

"You know his name? when did that happen? where were we? how did you get to know? Hope you're not thinking to date now my babies are no longer restricting you from doing so? "

" All this questions? how do you expect me to answer them all?"
