Chapter 12 I am Chris

 .........1:30pm

           Due to my boss's birthday,I will be having a half day. He has already left, not without telling me not to find my absence at his party,I smiled when he said that and promised him that I will surely come,if not for anything,I will go because he has been more than a boss should.

I hurried to finish the remaining paper works.   

         By the time I was done,It was already 2pm. I cleared my table,arranged my stuff,picked  my bag and left. I need to run along in other not to be late,I still need to go get him his present.

        I took a cab,on the way I begged the cab driver to stop for while. He stopped and I went into a nearby chain shop to get the gift. I was so immensed in selecting the best gold chain that I did not realised I had company. I looked up to behold my handsome stranger staring down at me. I  furrowed my brow at him in a questioning manner but he gave nothing out. Since I was done selecting, I  made my way to the counter to pay,when I looked up, I saw him see still staring. I went back to him and stretched my hand in greetings,he took my hands and gave it a little squeeze.

     " Nice to meet,I am chris"

   He introduced himself. I smiled at him and bowed lightly and off I went. I could not help but giggled at my reaction,who react that way during pleasantries. It's only one person in the world and that person is me,Gina Morgan.

      I got to the cab waiting and  mouthed my apologies to the cab driver. He drove off after I had made my self seated inside. I looked at the window and found out that Chris was at the entrance of the shop staring at the moving cab,I do that it was not the cab he was staring at but me,I smiled at the thought.

"It seems he likes you"

I thought to my self. But that's not a good sign,I don't want him liking me.

      The cab driver dropped me off at the location I gave him and I made my into the building. It's a fine house I must confess but wait till I get inside. You can't tell if my boss is Rich just by looking at him,he does not give a rich vibe,only close relatives will that he is so damn rich. I am not here to talk about my boss's wealth or his life style. I am here to celebrate him with his family.

        The birthday party is bound to start by 4pm. I entered the house and everyone present was doing one thing or the other.

    "Here you are" 

I looked up to see my boss beaming at me.

"Happiest birthday sir"

    I said and gave him the present I got for him. He collected it and gave me a brief hug,he then led  me  into the living and introduced me to everyone. I shook all his friends and settled down on the couch. All eyes were on me as I made myself comfortable,I knew that look. Itt was like they were accusing me of dating my boss,well I own no one any explanation. What so ever they think, so be it.
