Chapter 41 He is Alive?

        I stood at the door way waiting for her to come in,She locked her car and made her way towards me beaming at me. Mom is indeed beautiful,I wondered why she remained unmarried after her husband left her. I guess it has to do with my safety. Many single mothers choose to remain unmarried for the sake of their kids.

    Mom got to me and gave me a peck on my two cheeks.

 "How is my darling doing?"

She asked me

"Bored mom,I am as bored as death itself"

I replied

" I am sorry darling,hope you had lunch?"

She asked

"Yes Mom"

I responded, 

"How was service?"

I asked.

"As usual,nothing new. Pastor sends his regard"

She said and I gave a nod

"Welcome home then"

I told her and led her inside.

"Thanks my darling"

  She said and sat on the couch,I sat opposite her and by looking at her I knew she has something to say to me.

 "Is there something the matter mom?"

I asked when she was not saying anything.

She sighed and nod her head, then said

"I had a terrible nightmare last night?

"Nightmare?what's it all about?"

I asked getting unease

"It's about Christamos,it's seems he is alive somewhere. We need to get to him before someone else does"

Mom said.

"He is alive?"

I asked again

"I am not sure but it seems he is"

She said

"But how do we find him if he is alive"

I was anxious to get to him,if he is alive I would want to know what he is like.if he still love me and if we could get him back to his throne by defeating his uncle.

"Someone at North will help us"

Mom said

"You mean country North."

I asked raising a brow and mom said yes.

     That means we will travel to North and country North is in East Africa.

 "Mom don't you think they get him before we get to North,is North not far?"

"I don't think so,that's the only option we have and you know I can't fold my hands and watch lord Xexes do anything again to hurt you. You know the consequences of not getting to the prince on time,You both will die again."

She said and gasped

"That's not happening again"

I said clenching my fist while gnashing my teeth.

    The Lord xexes would not dare again,if I were him I would have starting looking for a place to hide my face, Because he would not know what will hit him this time around.

         "That's my warrior princess,I am so lucky to have you and the people of the south are as lucky as I am."

Mom said smiling

 "Stop praising me already,you have a away of lightening my mood.Thanks mom I am indeed lucky to have you too"

I responded.

        This woman will not change. I know we never had best relationship in the past. Now that I know the reason behind her actions,I don't blame her anymore rather I thank the universe for bestowing up me a wonderful mother. I don't know if my other life mother was this great but I am sure she was in her own way.

     "So mom when are we making the trip?"

I asked.

"You know you work,so take permission from your boss and let's see how Wednesday goes."

She replied and said ok. 

    "I will just go change,I need to go back to my apartment then"

I said and she frowned her face

I chuckled at her expression, I know she has started missing me

   "Mom you know I can always stay but not today. Maybe when things normalized and the people of the south get their freedom,then I can stay as long as you want"

I told her and kissed her cheeks,I ran upstairs not waiting for her to say anything more. I quickly changed my dress,picked my purse and made my way out of the room.

    I got to the living room and mom was still sitting as I left her. She stood up when she saw me approaching and hugged me 

"Bye sweetie, see you next time."

She said.

"Bye Mom, I love you"

I responded and withdrew from her hug and left. I hailed down a cab and waved at mom before entering the cab.

"I love you too"

I heard her say.
