Chapter 232 This Game Called Life

Gina's point of view.....

    I was filled with so much excitement,I don't know why I feel so excited but I love the feeling anyway. I was imagining what he would been putting on at the moment or his reactions when he will see me. Damnit,I can't wait.

    I hurriedly left Nora's bedroom heading to her living room,I got there but I did not see him. I looked around yet he was not in the living room. I stood still thinking where he could have gone when I felt a hug from behind.

    "Looks like someone missed me?"

He asked and ruffled my hair and pulled away. I spinned around to face him,I poked his face and made a mean face at him.

    "Don't you know that I am someone's wife,huh?"

I asked with a slight frown on my face.

   "I never forgot your queenship but this brother of yours can't help but to miss you" 

He said with a smile on his face,I felt like smashing his head but I would not dare,I love him after all.

 "Tsk! tsk!! tsk!!! Don't you know your way to the South?"

I replied and glared at him.

   "I am so busy with mom that I don't know if I could remember my way back to the past"

He said with no atom of sorry in his voice,

"Past you said but you lil sis lives there,don't tell me you have forgotten were you came from. You did not even congratulate me or have you not heard that I am pregnant?"

    I stood still glaring at him. He is my big bro but he is being a pain in the ass by the way he is smirking and if care is not taken,I will slap the silly smirk out of his face. I would not care if he is my bro or not,nonsense and ingredients.

    "Woaw!take it easy lil sis, I did not forget I am still the elder here or do you want to use your queenship on me huh?"

He said pinching my cheeks. I shook my head and relaxed,there was no way I am going to win this argument with him.

   "Whatever you say big head"

I walked passed him to sit at the opposite where he stood. He looked at me as if to say he does not know what to do with me.

   "So tell me what has been going on with you,hope mom is taking care of you?"

 "Yeah or do you mean to ask if I am taking care of Mom"

 He said with his voice filled with sarcasm. What I don't understand is why he is being an ass this afternoon. Let assume we had ourselves while growing up,is this the way we would have grew up with each or is he just trying to mess with me or is it his way of making jokes.

     "Anyone Xylie,tell me something I don't know.

 I said sarcastically, two will always play this game called life. I felt uncomfortable on the couch and I readjusted myself.

    Xylie walked up to me and squatted in front of me,he took my hands in his and squeezed it a little then pressed a light kiss on my knuckles.

   "Sorry sis,I know I being an ass. I just wanted to know how you could take my uncalled attitude and you took it so well. Bravo,you are indeed born to be a queen. I miss you and you remind me of mom so much. I would have wished to stay in the South with you but Mom I know would not want that. She would want me to get a life. I think Beverly offers me new opportunity at new life and I am going to embrace everything and makes best out of them. Mrs Smith is a wonderful mom and I would do anything to thank her for being the best mom she is to you"

   I was moved by his speech. I think Xylie would play a father figure in my life since I don't  know what it feels to have a dad. I looked at him and wiped the traces of tears I saw on his face.

     "Xylie,this speech is not needed. I appreciate you for who you are. I am the one that is supposed to thank you for being here for Mom. She is damned lonely and having you in her life will go along way. She will not miss me much and at the same time you will be the son she never had. Mom is a nice soul,just learn her and you will not miss me so much as far as you are with mom"

   He smiled in his tears,I pulled him up with me and I hugged him so tight. 

    "You have got to be tough bro,you made everyone proud. For crying out loud, I am your kid sis so you shedding this tears of yours will ruin my mood and since you don't want to say congratulations to me,I say congratulations to myself on your behalf"

My last statement got him laughing. He pulled away and smiled.

   "Congrats lil sis,can't wait to see my nephew"

He said and we both laughed.
