Chapter 239 Sharon's Son

   Definitely, here is a sight to behold. I could see that people who live here are lovers of art. There were various paintings hanging all over the place,both natural and otherwise. And these photo collections are eye catchy.

    "Do sit down lovely, welcome to my place. Sorry I kept you both waiting,was not intentional. So pardon me, my darlings."

   Sharon apologized for the second time since she came to pick us. I was less bothered with her apology because I was busy admiring the place to be bothered about her apology. 

     "It's okay Sharon,we are here now. I see you have organised a ball party in collaboration with birthday party"

I heard Gina say and I chuckled within myself. Gina is one person that will crack your ribs with no effort. I always say you can't be near her and still be sad,she is a joy giver.

    "Well my husband thought of combining both parties. He just wanted to host the people and it fell in time for my son's birthday so we are killing two birds at the same time."

   It seems to me that the husband is the people's lover, imagine him always hosting the people. It's not a big deal anyway, people still find reasons to do that.

    "Mom!"

  Someone yelled and we turned towards the direction only for me to behold another shock of my life. I blinked twice to see if it's actually the person I thought I saw and sure it was him.

  Ben was standing at the door like the king he is. He was putting on a blue tuxedo. His attire made him stand out. I have seen a lot of guys putting on tuxedos but none could be compared to how the tuxedo fit him. He is indeed a fine man.

    "Did he say mom,like seriously?"

I muttered under my breath. What the heck,Ben Sharon's son.

"Yes darling"

Sharon responded and turned with a knowing smile. I did not get to see Gina's reaction because I was lost in my world too. He did not realise that we were in the living room,he was so focused on Sharon.

   "I was on my way to your room when I heard voices so I decided to see who you are with"

   He said and looked up to meet my stares and he froze. I was still shocked to be able to react to him being shocked. Sharon looked from Ben to me then back to Ben.

   "Gina moved to myself and whisper in my ear"

"Please close your mouth before flies enter and tell us why your eyes are threatening to come out of it's sockets."

She said, despite all of these,I still managed to smile by what she said. She will never be serious in her life even when there is a need to be serious.

  "Nora you came?"

He questioned when he recovered from his shock.

 " I....I.."

   "You two know yourselves?"

Sharon had to cut me short to throw her own question. Ben was not anything close to answering her and I too did not know how to tell her that I have a little past with someone who is probably my nephew. Could it be the reason I felt angry with myself that day, could it be that my inner witch felt I was on the verge of committing abomination.

  "Nora, what's going on?"

  Gina asked with curiosity written all over her face. I looked at her then looked at Sharon. I felt my knees wobble and I sat down. I didn't even know I was standing,the last time I checked I was sitting down. Maybe I stood up unknowingly.

   "Mom you know her"

Ben asked, facing Sharon and my heart pricked. I felt the disappointment in his voice.

    "Yes,I know her. she is the Nora I always talked about"

Sharon replied. He opened his eyes wide and clenched his fist.

   "Shit"

He muttered.

   "Can you both tell us what's going on here? From all indications,you are Sharon's son and Nora is your Aunt if I am not mistaken but what's the fuss about. You both are keeping us in the dark"

Gina yelled and I flinched. What's up with the mood. If anyone should yell,it should be me.

   Ben loosed his tie and went over to sit down across from me. Sharon did the same and Gina too,from the way their faces are looking,I know we are in for a lot of questioning,Ben and I.

  "Mom, Nora here, your sis,my aunt I suppose is the lady I almost had a relationship with."

   Ben broke the ice and Sharon gasped,Gina was not left out in the gasping. I rolled my eyes and mumbled,

   "It's not like we had s relationship anyway,we were almost"

"Wait a second,you don't mean to tell me that Ben here is the guy?"

   Gina asked, almost yelling. I didn't even know what to say. I was lost for words myself. Sharon sighed and looked at me with a look of pity in her eyes. 

  "I am sorry baby sister that you have to go through all these"

Sharon said and I nodded. By now my tears were flowing freely.
