Chapter 243 The Truth At last

Nora's point of view......

    I found myself in the middle of nowhere surrounded by trees. By all indications,I am no longer at Beverly but where am I?.

   "You have questions that need answers so I brought you here to tell you all you need to know"

   A voice said and I turned to see an old woman sitting on a rock smiling down at me. She gestured for me to come closer and I went over to her. She tapped on a space and asked me to sit down which I did.

    "My name is Pia and I am Effrous grandmom,the legendary beast."

  She said and I widened my eyes. We all know the story and for this woman to be here,that shows there is more to know about Effrous.

   "Effrous could not get to live because his mate was murdered,he died of broken bond. So before he died,he pleaded with Nature to reunite him with his mate, Emery but before he could get to the underworld,she was reborn and he missed his chance of being with his mate on the underworld. There was only one thing for him to do, that is to get reborn to be with his mate but somehow she was out of reach and no one knows why. He waited for so many years to find his mate but could not,he had to die again to be reborn hoping that he would get a chance to be with his mate.

    Lady D was aware of what's going to happen and did something that would make Effrous not be able to find his mate. She did not want the girl she groomed to be able to have happy everafter. She has so much hatred for Emery for being the reason she was banished never to be seen again so she took away the only thing which will connect Effrous with her and that's the bracelet on your wrist."

   I looked at my wrist and looked at her, does it mean that the bracelet is in the wrong hand?

     "So grandma, where is Effrous and what is the bracelet doing with me because someone purchased it for me?"

I was getting uncomfortable, I did not know what she was going to say next.

  "You mean the witch princess, I was the one that sold the bracelet to her. I know gifting it to her she would not take it so I had to sell it to her"

  She said, smiling,I was surprised she knows Gina.

  "But why?"

I asked.

  "Well because I know she would give it to you"

She replied and I got confused.

  "I don't understand. By what you told me, lady D stole the bracelet because she knows that Emery having it would lead her to Effrous which she did not want. Somehow this bracelet got to me because the witch princess purchased the bracelet. My question is why did you want me to have the bracelet when I am not the rightful owner."

    "The bracelet belongs to you my dear,you are Emery and I had to gift Benjamin your mate the bracelet when he was ten years old but later I found out that you would not be found if it is in his custody so I had to take it back for it to get to you because you having it will make it easier for you both to find yourselves."

    I looked at my wrist and looked back at her. Is she trying to tell me that I am the reincarnated Emery and Benjamin is the reincarnated Effrous. They are not making sense at all. I don't believe that Ben has to be my mate when he is my nephew for crying out loud.

   "But I don't get it. The guy in question is my nephew and we are related by blood so how then could he be my mate?"

I asked her. She sighed and looked at me then took my hands in hers.

    "Effrous and Emery deserved a second chance to be with each other and their long wish of being together was granted a long time ago. The only twist was the bracelet which kept travelling from one hand to another all because of Lady D."

  She replied but what she said did not answer my question. I was about talking when she beat me to it.

   "Benjamin is not actually your blood because he was born when the mother had no blood relation with you. If I am not mistaken,Sharon just reconnected with the family so therefore Ben is not in a way related to you."

She replied with an air of finality. It's only then did it sink into my brain that after all Ben is my mate and he is not my nephew. I have never given a thought about him being related to me because I didn't even know him as my nephew until today. The truth at last.
