Chapter 295 You Both Are The Best

Jeff and I got to the living room to see the television tuned on. Ben's focus was on the television or should I say he just wants to ignore our presence. Jeff must has really got to him. I would make it up to him later but right now,let me try and see that he eats his pancake in peace without Jeff's interference. I have noticed that Jeff likes to get to him. If only Ben realized that he is just doing so to get to his skin, then him will win over this.

I placed the tray of milk and had Jeff place his own tray gently. He smiled and got himself ready to devour the pancake. He was so excited.

Ben ignored us and continued to watch the television. I looked up to see what he was so engrossed in and it was the state documentary.

   "Ben"

I called gently, he looked up at me and smirked.

"What can I do for you?"

He asked and returned his attention back to the television.

    "Won't you like some pancakes?"

I asked

"Of Course but know that we are not cool yet, you can't bribe me with a pancake, you will still have to make it up to me tonight."

He said and I blushed. Jeff looked at me then at Ben.

"What are you both doing tonight huh"

He said and stood up gingerly. I rolled my eyes and huffed. This boy is surely an adult.

"Jeff,it has nothing to do with you, can you sit down and have your pancake while I make sure your uncle have his"

"But I want you to feed me, you know how much I love that"

Jeff said, tearing up and Ben glared at him.

" Jeff, you are eating by yourself, don't even play with my intelligence."

Ben said and Jeff withdrew, he picked his plate of pancake and began to eat it grumpily. I had to smile, seeing Ben's mood I decided not to interfere. They should both sort themselves out.

   Interfering might spike Ben off.

I sighed and sat beside Ben, picked his plate of pancake and asked him to open which he reluctantly did not without scoffing at me. I just don't understand why he is angry. Come to think of it, would Ben be dragging my attention with our kids later in the future. Boy needs to grow and I hope he grows up fast.

I fed him one or two pancakes and his mood mild down. I smiled, I understood what he did. He actually did not want me to feed Jeff and leave him alone, he is feeling left alone and insecurity at the same time. Ben was damned jealous of a little boy.

   "May heaven help him."

I pray in my heart.

I looked up to see Jeff not eating his pancake anymore, he sat there sulking with tears in his eyes. All this drama is not necessary.

"Jeff you all okay with your pancake"

I asked, he looked up and a tear dropped from his eyes, Ben rolled his eyes and hissed audibly.

"Jeff alright, alright, bring your plate here let me feed you myself"

Ben said and his eyes lit up, he quickly brought his plate of pancake and sat in between us. He kissed my cheeks then kissed Ben's.

  "You both are the best"

He sang happily, gaining chuckles from Ben and I.

"You don't know how happy you make me feel. I wish will stay here forever"

He said and waved his hands in the air. An attitude he displays whenever he is happy and I find it adorable. It brings out the best in him. But we need to remind him that he goes home soon but he can visit anytime he wants.

" Jeff, open and finish your pancake and stop talking about staying here. You have got family that's is looking for you as we speak"

Ben said to him and picked a pancake and gestured for him to open up, Jeff opened his mouth and gingerly chewed the pancake.

"Auntie, the pancake is yummy. I love you, muah!"

He said and blew kisses to me, Ben frowned and stopped feeding him.

"Young man, I hope you are not flirting with girlfriend in my presence?"

Ben said and Jeff gasped.

" Uncle, how can you say that? She is yours and yours alone."

Jeff said, raising his hands in surrender. I watched them interact and felt relieved, it means Ben has forgiven Jeff and Jeff also was being a good boy. Good for both, I don't have the strength to separate fights between them.

My prayer is that they remain like this until Jeff is handed to his family.

While Ben fed Jeff I got busy with mine and we finished eating in no time with our glass of milk drained. Jeff patted his tummy and smiled. He was okay and he had enjoyed the meal.

By the time I was done taking our plates to the kitchen, it was pretty late and the next thing for Jeff would be to sleep. I hope he does not come with an excuse not to sleep.
