Chapter 305 Troubles Will Always Find You

    What Jeff did was wrong,I can't imagine someone waking me up to tell me that, I love sleep so much that you wake me up for anything unnecessary, I am sure going to have it with you.

   I don't even know how to start settling this case. 

   "Jeff, you know what you did was wrong and simple, "I am sorry" would have solved the problem, but now you have made it worse."

   I said, trying to make him understand why he was wrong. He shook his head and threw his face away.

  "He was not supposed to get angry, he is just a big baby anyway, what was I expecting. I will just go and tell him sorry and peace will reign"

He said and left me perplexed, I blinked my eyes.

   Now this is what we call troubles will always find you. You can imagine his audacity.

    "Please can we find your parents so fast that you will have to go"

I muttered to myself, stood up and made to go to the room when Ben came out with his car keys not looking bright.

  "Good morning darling, sorry I did not wish you good morning before. I need to run home to get a change of clothes and when I returned, we will return Jeff to his family"

He said and kissed my cheeks, I nodded in understanding, unlocked my door and led him outside to his car, he went in and drove out almost immediately.

   I went back inside and collapsed on the couch, Jeff came out and sat too.

   "Jeff, let's go get you a toothbrush"

I left him to get my purse and my phone, returned a minute later to see him waiting for me by the door. 

   I took his hands and unlocked the door, we stepped outside and I locked the door.

    His mood was getting back to normal, I am not sure he apologized to Ben.

    "Good morning to you Nora, I see you have got a visitor"

She said and directed his gaze at Jeff, I watched her closely. There is something about her sudden change of attitude that does not sit well with me.

   "Yes, he came yesterday. So how are you?"

   I asked and she smiled.

"I see, I am good though. I came to check on you last night and met your boyfriend and your visitor"

"Oh, you did?I might have been asleep by then. Was there something you wanted to tell me?"

   I asked and Jeff shifted uncomfortably by my side.

   "Sorry Jeff, we will soon be on our way"

I told him and ruffled his hair.

    "Yes, I wanted to invite you to a dinner party for my birthday which I will be hosting today, I don't know if you will make it anyway?"

    Jeff turned towards her directions and narrowed his eyes at her, I could not make out what's going on but I feel Jeff does not like her and whoever Jeff hates is trouble but Loveth is my neighbour, it's best I grace her dinner party besides I have not mingle in a while so going with Ben will be so cool, let me showcase my man to the world.

   "I will make it, thanks for inviting me. We will just be on our way"

I said and we left, Jeff was quietly following me which is unusual of him. For Jeff to stop talking something is up.

   "Jeff, why are you so quiet"

I asked him.

   "Nothing, I just don't understand why you said yes to her without thinking twice. People are sometimes not what you think they are. She came yesterday and she was so rude to me, I don't like her a bit"

 He said and I nodded my head. I see why he was so cold towards her, loveth came and probably Jeff has dished out his character to her. He was right about people not being who you think they are, that's humans for you. No matter what, people will never change.

   "It's fine, she is my neighbour so I have got to honour her invitation. If you are worried about me don't be because this big auntie of yours will always take care of herself, alright".

I assured him and he smiled.

    "I want scrambled eggs and tea for breakfast"

Jeff is so demanding, I had to laugh at his silliness.

   "Don't worry, you will have it as much as you want. You have got no problem"

I said pinching his cheeks and he laughed heartily.

   "Yeah, that's why I love you."

"I love you too my darling"

I told him and we continued on our way. I just wished Jeff would show more of this his side than the other one. May he follow the right path in life.
