Chapter 306 Your Son Is Cute

My original plan was to get a toothbrush for Jeff but since it's already morning enough for malls to open, I changed plans and decided to go to the mall and get some groceries.

   There is a mall down the street and it's walkable. Jeff will not get painful toes but if he does,I will carry him.

    The mall was a 15 minutes walk, we got there in no time and Jeff was so excited to go inside. Little things get him so excited and I like that a lot about him.

   He raced into the mall and I followed through. I don't want him getting lost because the mall is a large one and looking for someone who is lost here would take time coupled with Jeff being just a young boy.

   I found him by the corner admiring a blue teddy bear. I got to him and squatted by his side.

  " You love the teddy bear?"

He nodded his head, 

   "Then we are getting it"

I said and he jumped up and hugged me.

   "You are so nice even when you don't know me that much"

He said, I just smiled and shook my head.

   "I love adorable kids and you are adorable so I love you"

An attendant saw us and smiled

   "Ma'am, your son is cute"

She said, smiling. I looked at Jeff to see him smiling at the lady. I don't know why people kept saying Jeff is my son. Who gave them the impression, does it mean in our world you can't be nice to people unless they are related to you.

  People need to come off that mentality.

It's my choice to tell her that Jeff is not my son but is it necessary? I will just leave her to live in her own illusion.

   I smiled at her

"Yes he is, I am so lucky to be his mother"

I got a cot basket, added the teddy bear and put Jeff inside and drove off the mall while the attendant watching us leave.

  "Why did you say you are my mom?"

Jeff questioned me.

   "It's because I am your mom, did you not say so yesterday"

I gave him a comeback and he shut up instantly.

  I drove past the kiddies department with Jeff inside the cot basket. A thought came to mind and I branched. Let me get him some nice clothes because I might not see him after today.

   There were a lot of kiddies stuff and I have lost count on what kids like anymore so I urged him to pick whatever he wants and I would pay.

   "That's so nice of your auntie"

He said and got down from the cot. He picked a blue t-shirt and a black jeans, sleeveless shirt and a three quarter.

  "I am done with picking the clothes"

He said and stared at his hands, what he picked were just two pairs.

  "Why don't you pick more?"

"It's not really necessary, I have more than enough at home"

"Okay let's move to the shoe sections then"

He put the clothes inside the cot and we walked out of the clothes section to the shoe section which was five steps away. 

   Getting to the shoe section,he picked two pairs of red canvas and a black shoes and that was all for him. His parents must really be lucky to have him,the only thing he is over demanding in, is when it comes to food. 

   If that's okay for you then let's go,we have some groceries to pick and we need to get home before Ben's return.

   Speaking of Ben, I decided to call him to see if he had gotten home safely, which I am sure he has.

  The phone did not have to ring for long and he picked up.

   "Hey"

"Hi Angel"

He replied

"Hope you got home safely?"

He asked and smiled down at Jeff who returned the smile.

   "Yeap, sorry I did not call you to inform you. I will just run one or two things here and I would come over straight away"

   He said.

"Alright, expect you soon"

I said and hung the call.

    "That was so fast"

Jeff said and I chuckled,what was he expecting, to stay longer on the call. He needs a knock on his cute head.

   "Let's go Jeff, we are not done here and Ben will soon come over to my place"

With that being said, we walked out of the shoe section and began the main shopping.

   As we go Jeff and I add whatever that I think I need and by thirty minutes later we are done and shipping the cot full of groceries to the counter. I did not come with my credit card but I would use my phone.

   The lady at the counter smiled at us and ran a total check of what we bought and I transferred the money ASAP. It's good to be a boss lady, you know, being able to pay your bills at all times. It has a special feeling. Jeff was grinning from ear to ear and I had to laugh at that. He is so cute, I will say this forever.
