Chapter 307 A Full Day

Jeff and I walked out of the mall with shopping bags. I had the majority of the shopping bags, Jeff only had two and that was enough because I would not expect him to carry any, he was just a child but being the cute adorable baby boy he is, he helped me out.

   While we walked home, Jeff kept humming. I kept thinking about the tune because it sounds familiar to me but I can't place it.

   "Jeff who taught you this tune and can you sing the song"

I asked him and he stopped on his track,

"I don't even know, mom used to sing it to me when I was a baby, I grew humming the tune but I don't know the song or the lyrics"

He replied and we continued walking.

   That's strange because I am sure I know this tune but where, well I brushed it aside, anyone can know the tune. I know the tune and he knows the tune does not signify anything, it's just normal in our world.

   "I also know the tune and I am trying hard to remember the song itself."

I said expecting a reaction from him and I was disappointed because he gave none

"Okay"

Jeff answered cutily.

     There was nothing much to say, so we went into absolute silence and that was how we were until we got home.

   Getting home, Jeff flapped himself on the couch.

"I am so tired, I have not Walk in a long time now"

Jeff said and looked at him

  "Do you mean that,how come about yesterday?"

I asked and he gaspard

"Oosp, my bad. I forget, you know my little brain can't sometimes hold information. It filter out informations that it does not want and keep the necessary one"

That's the most weird answer I have heard coming from a six year old. Are you sure Jeff is a boy like I see him? Anything is possible.

   "Jeff, you know you can tell me anything, is there something you would want to tell me, huh?"

He looked at me confused.

  "Something like what?"

"I don't know, anything or don't you think you should?"

I said trying to see if he could but he still stared at me confused. I sighed and gave up

"Alright Jeff, don't be like that. Let's go so that you have a bath then I will prepare breakfast for the two of us."

  I stood up and took the shopping bags to the kitchen then returned and took Jeff and we left the living room to my room.

   We got to my room and quickly ran a bath for him. I came out and he had pulled off his clothes and tied my towel around his small waist. I had to laugh. If you see him on this towel, you will laugh also,he could trip if care is not taken. 

  "Jeff, there is no need for the towel"

I said smiling.

  " Says who, I am a man so I need to cover up and besides I can take my bathe by myself so don't bother bathing me"

He said and walked past me, I shook my head. Jeff and his unpredictable nature, you will think you know him then he will show you another side.

   "Don't you think you are Forgetting something?"

I asked when he almost got to the bathroom door.

   "What's that?"

"This"

I said waving a sponge for him to see, I have gotten one for him. I don't even know why I went extra way to get him things

"And this"

I brought out the toothbrush I got for him as well.

  "Oh that's very thoughtful of you,I almost forgot."

He came to me and took the toothbrush and the sponge.

"When you come out, make use of my cream and wear the clothes you will see on the bed,I will just be in the kitchen making breakfast."

I said and he nodded and went inside the bathroom after he shut the door.

   I picked out a jumpsuit I had secretly got for him and black sandals and arranged them on the bed then left the room to make breakfast. Jeff just made my work easier, he would just come out and breakfast would be ready waiting for him.

   I was about heading to the kitchen when my phone rang, I had left it in the living room. I went to pick the phone and it was Xylie coming.

   Oh, it looks like he is back from the South.

"Hi Xylie"

"Hi Aunt"

He said excitedly and I knew at once that he had something interesting to say.

  "Xylie,what's with the excitement?"

I asked and he paused.

  "Nothing really, I just called to tell you that I am back from The South and that Gina sends her regards"

"Okay, that's so nice to hear"

"Well I was thinking if I could host you and Ben later"

He asked and I thought for a while, I really don't know how today is going to be. Ben and I have got Jeff to take care of, not knowing when we will see his family and I have got a dinner party to attend later.

 "I don't know and I have got my day full but if we have spare time, we could come by, by lunch hour if that's okay by you"

I said

"That's cool then, expect you soon and I know you will ask after mom, she is okay so bye, see you later"

The call got caught off and I sighed, a full day indeed.
